Forgiveness
As the sky turns red and the mooon comes up
I wonder to my self who could be so corrupt
To take a life so quickly without remose
How could someone start down such a course
I was on my way to the store for food
And never thought someone could be so rude
He shouldered me on his way on out
Taking my wallet and pushing me about
I tried to fight back thinking nothing of myself
only of my cards and my great wealth
He pulled something shiny from under his Shirt
and i went down falling into the dirt
This man i know was only trying to live
But if he had simply asked i would be happy to give
Now it is done and i dont know what to do
For my wife and kids are at home without a clue
Forgiveness is a law that God has made clear
And I will forgive that man even if he stop my life so dear
Please tell my wife that i will see her soon
And tell my kids that i will be watching from that moon
I hope that man will learn from his mistakes
But i will be waiting at the pearly gates
For him to see as he passes by
And to tell him that i forgive him for making me die
I feel the pain leaving me now as if to say
That i might live alittle longer, live another day
As my body goes numb and i feel nothing more
I hope that i will be able to walk to my house, walk in the front door
