Observed on the third day of Tammaz, in Tear, Illian, Amadicia, Tarabon, and the southern parts of Altara and Murandy, it is a day when both men and women wear brightly colored ribbons.
Mabriam's Day -
Celebrated in the small towns and villages throughout the known land this feastday falls on the eighteenth day of Tammaz. Labor is avoided at all costs, including any cooking which is always done the day before. Some rise before sunrise however on the theory that they have done any necessary work before the day has begun. Young women traditionally play tricks on the younger men of the village. The "target" is suppossed to indicate the girl's interest, but often times they work in groups and keep their actions as secretive as possible. If the young man guesses his tormenter then he receives a reward from whomever responsible. These "rewards" can come in the form of a kiss from whomever thought up the idea to a kiss from each young woman involved.
Tandar -
This festival, observed on the ninth day of Maighdal, is intended to reconcile any quarrelers. No one should let the festival end still holding a grudge, and all though it is intened to reconcile said grudges often times the celebrations are marred by attempts to meet the letter in quite a different fashion.
Low Chasaline -
In most places this is a day of fasting observed on the eighteenth day of Maighdal.
The Festival of Lanterns -
Falling on the first day of Choren this festival is celebrated in Arad Doman, Tarabon, Amadicia, Ghealdan, Altara, Murandy, and Illian. Brightly colored and fancifully shaped lanterns may be found hung everywhere, from windows to trees.
