The Sequel to So Deep
Written by Ella
Based on some situations originated by James Cameron.

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me.

Technically, she only said she loved me once, right before I died. But it was enough to let me go in peace. I never really left her. I was waiting the whole time. I had to let her live her life.

Well, you got your reasons
And you got your lies
And you got your manipulations
They cut me down to size
Saying you love but you don't
You give your love but you won't.

Cal, that rich son of a bitch. He was her fiancé. Of course, he never loved her. She was just a girl to him, not really a woman. Not as I knew her.

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me.
Seems the road less traveled
Shows happiness unraveled
And you got to take a little dirt
To keep what you love
That's what you gotta do.

This is definitely worse than Lake Wissota, I remember thinking. It was freezing. More than freezing. I knew I wouldn’t make it. But I was determined that Rose would. "Listen, Rose...you're gonna get out of here...and you're gonna go on...and you're gonna make lots of babies...and you're gonna watch them grow. You're gonna die an old, an old lady, warm in her bed...not here...not this night...not like this. Do you understand me?" She complained about how cold she was. Stubborn society girl. My stubborn society girl.

Saying you love but you don't
You give your love but you won't
You're stretching out your arms to something that's just not there
Saying you love where you stand
Give your heart when you can.

Before my final bow, she spoke the words I had been waiting to hear…and also dreaded. "I love you, Jack."

"Don't you do that. Don't say your good-byes," I told her. I knew I would see her again. If there was a God, and I’m sure there is, she would make it. She was only seventeen. She had her whole life ahead of her. Hell, I had lived my life, even if it wasn‘t with her. Rose…my fiery Rose. My fiery Rose that had begun to fade.

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me.

"I'll never let go, Jack. I’ll never let go." Those were the last words I heard her say. And she never did let go. She held on…she told our story. She got married, had kids, rode horses, flew in an airplane, for Christ’s sake! But the best part? She came back. She came home. She looked as beautiful as she did when I first saw her. Her eyes were so blue. As blue as they were that night so long ago, when she said she loved me. And she still does. We will always love each other.

The End.
