Episode 1: The Phantom Menace is the first movie of the Star Wars saga. It is also the first movie in the trilogy that is a prequel to the Star Wars trilogy. (Episodes II and III are still to come.) Episode I was released earlier this year (1999). When George Lucas first wrote his story it was too big for one movie so he divided into two halves. It was still too big so he divide each half into a trilogy. The Phantom Menace serves mainly to tell the story of Anikan Skywalker (who grows up to be Mr. Vader himself). REVIEW: Less battles and less action than in the original trilogy, however I liked it better since there were no 70s/80s haircuts. The last fight with Qui-Gon vs. Maul and then Obi Wan Kenobi vs. Maul was better than all the lightsabre battles in the trilogy (except for Luke vs. Vader in Episode VI).
