ABOUT SANDRA FAYE:
I met Roy Eugene Davis in 1971 and, at that time, I read the book "Autobiography of a Yogi", by Paramahansa Yogananda as suggested by him. I felt completely, "at home" with those writings and I undertook Kriya Yoga as my spiritual path, in order to reach a deeper awareness of God.
Over the years I have held classes in meditation, including many for college students who seemed to be very hungry for truth that could be directly experienced. Currently I have a class which meets in Floral City, Florida, once a month, and another one in a metaphysical church (always with monthly meetings). I travel and speak or hold meditation classes in other locations by request as time permits.
INTRODUCTION:
Opinions about the meaning of life can sometimes be of very little value. If our thoughts and actions do not enhance our lives, the lives of others, and the community around us, our brief time upon this planet can be considered as wasted. The teachings of Kriya Yoga as it comes from the full lineage of Eastern teachers spoken of in the autobiography of a yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda, is the clear and truthful presentation of the purpose for our being in this world. If you sincerely aspire to live effectively and to experience rapid, authentic spiritual growth, I would encourage you to immediately begin studies in Kriya Yoga.
THE KRIYA YOGA TRADITION
Kriya yoga is practiced to resist, weaken, and remove all physical and mental obstacles to God-realization. Study of the real nature of the soul, consciousness and its processes, and the reality of God enables one to acquire accurate knowledge and to realize the truth about life.
Kriya means "action." Those who truly practice kriyas, understand that they are productive actions implemented to accomplish chosen purposes. They are the transformative, regenerative actions which occur in the body and mind when obvious spiritual awakening has occurred.
THE TEACHERS OF OUR TRADITION:
First there was Babaji, who was the Guru (teacher) who initiated Lahiri Mahasaya (1828 - 1895). According to Paramahansa Yogananda, Babaji is a deathless yogi still living somewhere in the Himalayas. Lahiri was a kriya yoga guru who lived all his life in India and, amongst his many disciples, he initiated Sri Yukteswar (1855 - 1936), who later became the Guru of Paramahansa Yogananda (1893 - 1952). The life of these characters is described in Yogananda's book "autobiography of a yogi". Roy Eugene Davis is a direct disciple of Yogananda and he has ordained several ministers during the years, in order to carry on the teachings as we believe them to be true.
In 1894, Babaji asked Sri Yukteswar to write a small book emphasizing universal truths. The book is titled "The Holy Science". The introduction to the text provides a concise explanation of the esoteric influences which contribute to the cyclic increase and diminishment of spiritual awareness of earth's inhabitants. This book and its universal truths touched my soul during my early years of study, for I have always had an intense desire to bring the teachings of the East and West into greater unity. In all actuality, they say the same thing. We just need to delve deep into higher consciousness, to truly see, hear and experience a larger reality.
The Teacher is always available when the student is truly ready. For the relationship between teacher and student to be fulfilling and most useful to both, the student must have the following qualifications:
- Be sincere and honest at all times.
- Have a wholesome, constructive lifestyle.
- Have respect for the tradition and the teacher.
- Be willing to learn and to practice what is learned.
- Have the intellectual capacity to learn and the functional ability to apply what is learned.
THE BENEFITS CAN BE HEALTH AND TOTAL FREEDOM
As a spiritual being, you do not need to be a helpless effect of causes external to your

essential (spiritual) nature. Avoid thinking that your mental, emotional and physical conditions, personal relationships or routine circumstances are solely the result of causes over which you have no control. It is unwise to think or say that you are unable to choose how to experience your life. Never affirm that you cannot help yourself to increased wellness and functional freedom. At the core of your being, you are whole and free. Nurture spiritual growth. Read reliable philosophical literature, especially the writings of enlightened people. Meditate regularly until your awareness is established in superconscious tranquillity, and learn to live with a sense of purpose in your life. Know why you do what you do. You will then more easily be self-motivated and goal-directed. We were not born into this world to suffer, to continually cope with challenging conditions, or to struggle to survive. Suffering is due to lack of understanding and inappropriate living. We are here to learn about ourselves and the universe, unfold our innate soul abilities and capacities, live successfully, and be agents of divine purposes. Always start and end your day with these words:
My enlightened awareness energizes my mind, enlivens my body, and it is the primary cause of my harmonious, supportive, personal relationships and environmental conditions. I always perceive accurately, think clearly, act wisely, and experience orderly events and circumstances in all aspects of my life. I am peaceful and happy.
