BATTLE OF HASTINGS

Harkin back to the hallowed days of antiquity, when on October the 14th 1066 The battle took place between the Norman army of Duke William of Normandy from France, and the English army led by King Harold II.


The battle took place at Senlac Hill, approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) north-west of Hastings, on which an abbey was subsequently built. It was one of the most historic battles of History, and now YOU can influence the out come of the Battle and change History!!!!


The Empire of Ironthorn will be holding its First Ever Dagorhir Event…THE BATTLE OF HASTINGS, the event will be held October 23rd through the 26th , come and enjoy the sting of Battle the agony of defeat and the merriment of fellowship after the Battle!


THE BATTLE OF HASTINGS, will be held at BeautifulOld Stone Fort Archaeological Park located in Manchester, TN


Troll will open on Thursday October the 23rd at 12:00 Central time there are several options as to camping, there is Primitive Camping near the Battle Field and there is the Standard Camping that the park offers (with electrical hookup and such) please note the Standard Camping is about a Mile from the Battlefield.


NOTE: Standard Camping Fees ARE NOT included in the event cost, you will have to pay the park and register through them for a Camping spot.


Primitive Camping Spots will be on a First come First serve basis, Groups may Pre reserve a Block area for their group if they so desire.


Fire rings and fires on the ground ARE allowed as well as Braziers, just use COMMON sense in all cases, NO chopping of fire wood is allowed deadfall may be collected (But that is pretty scarce as the Park keeps the woods pretty clean) there will be fire wood for sale at Troll as well. NO DIGGING OF FIRE PITS WILL BE ALLOWED, NO DIGGING AT ALL, THIS IS AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK.


Upon arriving at HASTINGS, everyone is required to register at the gate, or "Troll Booth." Everyone will have to check in and sign waivers at Troll Booth. Please have positive proof of age (Drivers License, Military ID or State ID) available when checking in. If you have pre-registered, prepare to provide proof to the Troll Booth attendees.
Minors MUST have their waivers NOTARIZED with a parents signature BEFORE they come through Troll. A regular Dagorhir wavier will be Sufficient
Minimum age to fight in any event is 15 years with Notarized waiver and PARENT/S PRESENT
16 years and up may fight in any event as long as they have provided a Notarized waiver at troll.

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS FOR PRIMATIVE CAMPING ONLY, IF YOU WANT TO STANDARD CAMP YOU MUST GO THROUGH THE PARK OFFICE.


If you are under the age of 18 you MUST present the Dagorhir Waiver at the Troll Booth upon entry or you will NOT be admitted. All persons of legal age must sign their waiver at the Troll Booth. Only Cash will be accepted at the Troll booth for payment.
