Bishonens: Hiei and Kurama

Show: Yu Yu Hakusho (English: The Poultergeist Report)

Merits: Soooo many. Both are great fighters, Kurama's so sweet and kind, Hiei's so... deep voiced, they're both SO sexy... wak.

The Lowdown: All righty! We've seen my favorite bishonen, now here we have my favorite bishonen couple! That's right, Hiei and Kurama. There are countless sites out there praising their love if you want to go look for them, so I'm not going to go on and on about the proof. I've only seen a couple of sites pairing Kurama with anyone but Hiei (and none pairing Hiei with anyone but Kurama), and only one of them was any good. For the alternative... here it is, a Kurama-Botan page. Personally, it grosses me out to look at the pictures (I'm that used to seeing Hiei and Kurama together). But it really is a nice page, and if you like that sort of thing, check it out.

Ok. Well, for those of you who don't know, Yu Yu Hakusho's this show which practically defines the genre "action." I am not an absolute fan of this genre (although I do watch Dragon Ball Z, and that's pretty much straight action.) I do love this show. I owe my love to the fans: I saw the movie, it was decent, I was going to use it as an example of a good action anime. I typed "Poultergeist Report" into the search at altavista... oh, la vache. A whole world of web sites opened before me. And the main point of these pages didn't seem to be the actual hero of the show, Yuuske (I'm not even going to talk about him), but these two demon guys named Hiei and Kurama.

Slowly the pages began to unfurl. I discovered fanfiction. Before I knew it I was an expert on a series I had never even seen (how often does this happen to you?). I HAD to get the series. Now I am the proud owner of Yu Yu Hakusho episodes 1-20, 2 Yu Yu Hakusho cds, and a whole bunch of doujinshi.

Now, about the bishonens. Kurama is pretty much the perfect guy: He's sweet, he's cuter'n a bug in a rug (Stop it mother! Get out of my head! I do not use phrases like bug in a rug!)He's smart, he's fun, yada yada. Yea, and he looks mighty fine in those little uniforms he wears. He can sing *oh, golly can he sing* he can dance. He can play the gee-tar. Yea, yea.

Now on to the REAL cutie of the two: my immaginary boyfriend, Hiei. Yes, that's right, he's MY immaginary boyfriend, you can't have him. I wrote my French paper on him; that makes him legally mine. (oh, if you're wondering, he's the one with the spiky black hair.) He's rude. He's short. But... let's just say he has a habit of fighting with his shirt off. That's enough for me. *gaze* Plus, he's so much fun to write fanfics about!! Here is my story Paridise.

This couple definetely ties with Kagetsuya/Chihaya as my favorite yaoi pairing... they might even win them out, since I don't believe that I've ever seen Hiei leave Kurama for some weird-looking biohumanoid... *cries* I HATE MESSIAH!!!
