"Seek not for riches but for wisdom; and, behold, the mysteries of

yea, until you have obtained all which I shall grant unto the

"And it came to pass that I did go forth and partake of the fruit
thereof; and I beheld that it was most sweet, above all that I ever
before tasted. Yea, and I beheld that the fruit thereof was white,
to exceed all the whiteness that I had ever seen. And as I partook of
the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy;
wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of
it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit."
1 Nephi 8:11-12
"And it came to pass that after Aaron had expounded these things unto
him, the king said: What shall I do that I may have this eternal life
of which thou hast spoken? Yea, what shall I do that I may be born
of God, having this wicked spirit rooted out of my breast, and receive
his Spirit, that I may be filled with joy, that I may not be cast off
at the last day? O God, Aaron hath told me that there is a God; and
if there is a God, and if thou art God, wilt thou make thyself known
unto me, and I will give away all sins to know thee, and that I may
be raised from the dead, and be saved at the last day."
