Fine Tuned by Jim Pickering ~ August 15 1999
.

This is a very new development that requires IE 5.x & Outlook Express
.

First create folder on your desktop ~ Name it emlake2
.

Click on DorianGray_II.class ~ Click on alcsnow.class save to your emlake2 folder
Right Click on mma_o4.jpg ~ lancsnow.jpg ~ lancsnow.htm  lancsnowemb.htm ~ snowlaketemplate.txt
snowlakeembeddingtemplate.txt
"Save Target As" to your emlake2 folder
Very Important to add extension when you save
.

   .
Now if you have carefully saved files with proper extension, double clicking on lancsnowemb.htm will give you embedded lake applet. Press F11 when it opens to see it in full page splendor. Is ready to use, if you want to send lancsnowemb.htm

To use ~ Open Outlook Express ~ Click Message / New Message Using. Browse to C:\Windows \ desktop \ emlake2 \ lancsnowemb.htm Click OK ~ Message will appear ~ Fill in To: line ~ add Subject ~ Type on top portion message window "When open, click F11" May be viewed off-line.

lancsnowemb.htm can be used as Template and I will explain how later.

.

This might appear difficult, however, if you pay careful attention it will soon be familiar and as easy as pulling on your shoes.

We want to keep all components in the same folder including future ones. This is so that you can link all the files easier. lancsnow.htm is where we prepare the lake applet and lancsnowemb.htm is where we embed all the files used.

.

Open snowlaketemplate to make changes for new Snowlake applet

<HTML>
<BGSOUND balance=0 src="snowside.mid" volume=0>

<BODY bgColor=#000000>
<CENTER>
<APPLET CODE=alcsnow.class WIDTH="565" HEIGHT="213">
<PARAM NAME=grph VALUE="mma_04.jpg">
<PARAM NAME=snows VALUE="500">
<PARAM NAME=threadsleep VALUE="50">
</applet><BR>
<APPLET align=top code=DorianGray_II.class
height=200 width=565><PARAM NAME="outtext" VALUE=""><PARAM NAME="speed" VALUE="2"><PARAM NAME="intext" VALUE=""><PARAM NAME="mode" VALUE="1"><PARAM NAME="frames" VALUE="12"><PARAM NAME="image" VALUE="lancsnow.jpg"><PARAM NAME="text" VALUE="Storm">
<param name="href" value="http://www.webdev.net/wabi/">

You need Java to see this applet.</APPLET>
</CENTER>
</html>

Changes will be in green

Substitute new graphics & measurements for everything in green

Save As newname.htm in emlake2 folder

Now that was easy. As snowlakeembeddingtemplate.txt is so large, I will show you the 6 places where you make changes, or leave the same.

You will change mma_04.jpg to newgraphic.jpg
You will change lancsnow.jpg to newgraphic.jpg
You will leave alcsnow.class
You will leave DorianGray_ll.class
You will Change snowside.mid to newmidi.mid

You will change Lancsnow.htm to
newname.htm

Save As newnameemb.htm in your embed2 folder. This is the file you will use when posting or sending email

Just be careful in following instructions & you will be sending embedded lake applets before you know it.

Keep smiling
