Stan Butler lead the 17 car starting field to the green on Saturday Night at Columbia Motorsports Park in Lake City, however Shane Butler would take the top spot from his Dad on the first lap. Shane would have his work cut out for him as 10th place starting Troy Decaire would reel him in about half way through the 30 lap event, the two would race bumper to bumper and side by side until lap 18 when Lance Taylor flipped the Skeeter Faulconer #6 in turn 3, the car was damaged pretty badly, but Taylor would be OK. After the resart the battle would rage on between Butler and Decaire with Decaire trying every move he could think of to get by Butler, but Shane would have none of it and held on to take the win. Decaire would cross the line in second only to be DQ'd for not going to tech, that would move Kipp Beard up to second in his first start of the season followed by Dude Teate and Stan Butler with Jimmy Alvis rounding out the top 5. The season points battle came to an end on this night with Fort Meyers hot shoe Scotty Adema taking the Championship in the Tommy Rice #67 by 11 points over Jimmy Alvis. Heat wins went to Gary Gimmler and Troy Decaire
