Civil War 2 is a turn-based strategy game based on the Civil War. This game is simple enough for novice gamers to figure out yet has detail that will impress Civil War buffs.
While an older game, it is still a popular PC game on some internet game sites. Civil War 2 is a turn-based strategy game where you command different units, such as infantry, cavalry, and artillery, as well as more advanced units, like gunboats or mortars. You play until the battle is over (all turns are over) and who ever has the most victory points wins. Choose either the Union or the Confederacy in single battles or strung together campaigns. Leaders increase the fighting ability of your units, so use them wisely, and don't get them killed. Play alongside Stonewall Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant, or Robert E. Lee. Deploy your units strategically to win the batlle in places like Gettysburg, Atlanta, or Bull Run. Includes an extremely advanced (and hard to use) map editor for making your own battles.
