Saturday, May 17 2008: I have wanted to remove this age for a long time. The problem was that I couldn't remember the password. The last update to this page, I noticed, was done December 12 1998 -- close to 10 years ago. Since then the Social democrats have lost the elections and the village is back in the firm hands of the conservatives. Some politician has been trying to call my father down, trying to get him to tell me to remove this site. I really tried to, but it was just impossible to get Angelfire to give me any hint.
And then now a few minutes, while sweating in the Nicaraguan heat, I tried just one more time. Really probably out of boredom rather than anything else. And voila, it worked!
And right now, i really don't see any point in removing the site either. This disclaimer should be enough, and for reasons of historic documentation, it really is no point to remove it.
As for me, I moved away from Schuby that very same year, 1998. Until 2000 I lived in Flensburg while going to the Danish high school there. Then I moved on to Oslo, Norway to avoid both Danish and German draft and to experience something new. During my time in germany I became involved in politics with the Party of Democratic Socialism (PDS) and in Norway I continued along those lines... Right now I'm on a fieldwork in Nicaragua for my Social Anthropology PhD at Goldsmiths College in London, UK.
