Sunday, June 27, 2004: So, I drove my mom's car back to Wyoming this weekend and right now I'm sitting at the station working and djing. I'm bored. I'm watching Friday on USA for the second time today. My dad has to drive me back to Greeley tonight b/c I have my second 6 weeks of classes for the summer starting tomorrow. I found a car, I signed my lease papers on friday and I pick it up tomorrow. I have to call the courtesy van to have them pick me up so I can pick up my car. It's a 2004 Honda Civic 4 door. It's got A/C and a cd player so I'm all good! It's this figi blue, I'll put a pick of it up soon enough so y'all can see it! I'm also looking for another job. My assistant manager at Hot Topic hates me. She hired some new chick and cut my hours. I can't pay for a new car on 8 hours a week. I'm trying to get on at Startek. I've heard horror stories about it, but it's a guaranteed 30-35 hours a week with benefits and I start making more than I make now. Granted, I love Hot Topic, but I think I need a change again. Plus, I went alum from the sorority so I'll have a little more money to pay for the car this year. I came home on friday and said to my dad "My new car is newer than your new car!" He just looked at me! *haha* I can't wait till Adam sees it! I know his jaw is gonna drop! haha fucker!
Monday, June 21, 2004: So, the dealership looked at my car. They said it was burning oil faster than they could put it in the car. So begins the hunt for a new car. I missed my physics class today b/c I was stuck in Casper. I'm driving my mom's car this week while I look for one. I hope I can find one!! I want a new one, but I dunno if I can afford one, since I don't have a down payment! ARGH!
Saturday, June 19, 2004: So, my turtle broke. Okay, so maybe I should explain what exactly my turtle is. Back in high school my friends nicknamed my car the turtle. It was a '93 Toyota Tercel and it was green. We always joked about it. Well, I'd been having problems with it. I had a wedding in Denver, my sorority lid'l sis, Sarah, got married today. I put a bottle of oil in the car and drove to Denver for the wedding. Then I drove back to Greeley. I talked to my mom on the phone before I left Denver and she told me to check the oil again, so I did. It said it was empty. So, I put 2 more quarts of oil in. Halfway from Greeley to Casper, which would be Wheatland Wyoming, my car just died. I sat on the road for 3 hours, in the middle of nowhere Wyoming waiting for a tow truck. He finally got there. The dealership is to look at my car monday.
