Brief Biographies of My Peers

I intend to make this section rather elaborate. I value my friends more than anything at this point in my life so I figure they might as well each get their own section. I'll try to post as much about each of them as possible. I just about ran the risk of posting a 'Top Ten Friends' list on that Top Ten section, but I resisted when I realized that it would be not only gravely misinterpreted, but I also don't have ten real friends. I don't think so, anyway.

However, below you will probably find more than ten profiles. I've profiled myself, Timothy La Rocque, my brother. Maybe a few other family members. I haven't quite decided yet. A big flaw with this page is that I always post the introduction to the section before making the section itself. I should quit doing that. But I probably won't.

So, anyway, below is a legend to some of the things you might find in the individual profiles of my peers:

"Name" is basically self-explanatory. I'll try to make the naming of these folks as specific as possible. Some people are rather cautious about giving their middle name sometimes. I don't understand why and probably never will. Most often, you will probably see the first, middle and last names of the individual in question.

"Aliases" is a term I'm using loosely on this page. For the profiles, I define alias as anything that the person is referred to by that is not their name as listed above. Most often, this will include ICQ names, AIM screen names or message board names. The purpose of listing the alias is simply for clarification as to who's who when I get to the "free verse" section of the profile, which I will explain later.

"Birthdate" is not really significant enough a detail for me to feel I should include, but I'm doing it just so it looks proper. A lot of people are really careful about security and things like that so I won't be posting their mailing address and postal code and next of kin and all that. If they don't want the birthdate posted, it won't be posted by request. I'm just assuming none of my friends are too too paranoid.

"Iqtest.com Score" is something I debated the inclusion of for quite some time. I don't believe that IQ scores mean anything and I take these numbers as a joke that should not be taken seriously. I treat them the same way most normal people treat horoscopes. It's just fun.

Speaking of horoscopes, I will also throw in the "Zodiac Sign" for fun.

"Color" is not based on race because I intend to have pictures of all profiled people that clearly states that. I try to refrain from having anything typed that can be expressed visually, such as gender. Anyway, color is a trait I attach to certain people based mostly on personality. It's not just people either. I also describe movies and appliances as being a certain just because 'that's the way it is.' I'll write an essay about it just to make it clear for you.

"Theme Song" is similar to color because it is not necessarily a factual profile attribute. I'm just offering my opinion of what I think this particular person's theme song should be.

"Notable characteristics" is just random blurbs about people that I notice and record in my mind. I, for example, think of myself as a coldly indifferent atheist, among other notable characteristics. This little piece of the profile is just my way of summing up someone in words, which is very challenging and usually vague.

"Website" is just a link to the person's website, if they do, in fact, have one.

"Religion" is also self-explanatory. Most of these religions will likely be atheism, but occasionally you might find something else, or perhaps one you've never heard of because it was made-up by one of these folks.

"E-mail address" is just some more personal information in case my profiles are elaborate enough for you to take interest in talking to these people.

"Location" is my best attempt at helping out the stalkers without a street address. Basically just a city, state/province and country.

"Purity Percentage" is another laughably inaccurate bit of fun to attach to the page. Visit thespark.com to take the purity test yourself.

"Favourite Number" and "Favourite Letter" are two things which I think are very important. Don't ask me why. Keep in mind that the "favourite letter" is only out of the 26 letters of the Roman alphabet. There's no sneaking into the Greek alphabet or any weird Turkish army code or anything like that.

"Passionate Hatreds" is basically self-explanatory, too.

Then there is my free verse section at the very bottom of everyone's general profile. I can't really explain what it is because it's bound to be something different for every person. Most of these sections will include quotations from those having been profiled as well as snippets from conversations, be it online or offline or wherever. All quoted material will be in italics. Everything isn't italicized is likely my own personal monologue relating to the profiled individual.

So that's basically everything you need to know about the following profiles. Have fun:
