First and foremost, this room operates under White Wolf's "World of Darkness" system of gameplay. Do not think that this an attack on freestylers-- it is not. The Ghostwoods Caern is an attempt to encapsulate a little section of WoD as purely as possible, in the interests of quality roleplaying. So please, respect the spirit of this room, and understand that it requires that all the players are familiar with the setting.

With respect to "rollplaying," characters are expected to have charsheets with stats, and they will be treated as such. Of course, you may exercise a little free license; that is, no one is expected to make a roll for every mundane insignificance that may come up. Use your judgment. But if someone asks for a roll, please roll.

The Caern is assumed to be known to most Bete, especially Garou, and chars of this kingdom are welcome. Chars of other types, if you desire to introduce one, should be passed by the Storyteller, Steen for review (for security purposes, I have had to remove contact information at this time.). Alternatively, you can post your intent on the Message Board which will go up, and the room's frequenters will respond with their opinions. The object of this rule is to ensure that the storylines of this Caern are coherent and make sense. Random, unjustified charges into the Caern, violent or out of place, will go unacknowledged. Remember that we want fine roleplaying, not a few kicks for extra exp.

With concern to the Wyrm or other adversity, such evils as you may see fit to introduce are welcome, but we must once again reaffirm the utmost importance that you first check with me. If a storyline can be drawn from your idea, then we are all so much the better; our chars will not be ignored, and we won't suffer from the confusion of disjointed, uncoordinated goings-on in the Caern.

NOTE: This room is protectorate of a sept of Garou. It would be normally fiercely defended if any sort of aggression took place. Unfortunately, we all have lives, and we excuse each other for not being in the Ghostwoods 24/7, so there are times when the room is empty. This should not be seen as an opportunity for a fullscale sneak-attack, invasion, defilement, raid, quintessence-drain, etc. The Caern(-to-be)is assumed to be always guarded. Please show the least courtesy in waiting for others to provide resistance. Again, you would be better to inform me in advance.

Lastly, please be considerate of other players. The World of Darkness may be a nasty place, but that does not mean that we have to be. Be open-minded; none of us know all the rules by heart, and when in doubt, seek a compromise. If someone breaks any of the above rules, if an unaware player stumbles into the room, please maintain some degree of politeness in explaining the nature of the problem. Anger leads to miscommunications, and then OOC fights result.
