ABOUT US

The Gem City Jewels group was formed in 1985 as a community service to enhance the Jubilee Days celebration activities in Laramie, Wyoming.  The Jewels performed at the week-long PRCA rodeos doing Grand Entry as well as a pattern for entertainment.

Each year the Jewels choreograph and perform a new, original riding pattern.

The Jewels begin each season in the Spring with walk-through rehearsals of the new pattern.  As the weather warms up, the group begins outside practices on horseback.

The group usually practices at least twice a week on horseback.

Hard work, dedication, and discipline are required to reach our goals.

The performance season usually runs from June until September.
