In addition to its joint-venture refining and marketing enterprises, Saudi Aramco operates marketing support subsidiaries with office in New York, London, Tokyo and Singapore, and sells crude oil, refined products, NGL and sulfur to customers worldwide.  Offices in Houston and Leiden, the Netherlands, also provide important support services to the company.

The Saudi Aramco shipping subsidiary Vela International Marine Limited has established its own fleet of supertanker to carry crude to customers.  In 1995, Vela completed a two-year program to build 15 new very large crude carriers (VLCCs).  Vela owns 27 vessels:  19 VLCCs, four ultra large crude carriers (ULCCs) and four product carriers.
