What Is Magick?

Magick is a wonderful thing. It comes from yourself. When you practice magick, you make things happen, simply by the state of mind. It's a great power to have, but it only works if you believe in what you do. And there are rules to follow. You must never spellbind others. It's dangerous. You risk that the spell returns to you in a very bad way.

Let's take an example, the classic one. You fall in love with this guy ( or girl ). But unfortunately he doesn't share your feelings. So you want to spellbind him to love you and obey you. Your spell works, and you have some great dates. But then he gets obsessed with you. He's following you! Then it's no fun anymore. Your spell has returned to you as a curse.

That is an example on the law of three. "Whatever you send out, shall return to you times three." So have respect, when you perform your magick. When it's done right it's a beautiful thing, who makes you live in harmony with yourself and nature.

Magick is "the use of will to effect some desired change"; therefore, any open-minded human being who possesses the ability to focus and concentrate their will is capable of working successful magick. Some folks need to practice often to get their magickal skills fine-tuned, while others are blessed with more of a natural aptitude for it.

Just as there are many different ways to define magick, there are also many different ways to perceive it. Magick is all around us, and within us. It radiates in all things that live and die. It can be felt in a baby's first breath and in the changing of the seasons. It is a part of the Earth, the mysterious ocean, and the starlit heavens above us. There is magick in love and magick in dreams. It can be found on a hill of wildflowers dancing in the sun-drenched breeze, in the cool shadows of some quiet enchanted woodland, or in the lines of a beautiful poem. All you need to do is open your heart.

Magick is when you use your powers to change things. But it's more than that. Magick is to be one with nature. To feel the power of every stone and leaf, in every tree and every flower. To use these powers and channel them out to the people who need it. Just remember to be modest in your wishes. For example, if you really want to become rich, and cast a spell to get money, this money has to come from somewhere. So you're richer, means somebody else's poorer. Get the picture? Also, that loss will return to you - remember the law of three? So go easy on your magick when you're a beginner. Start with little spells, like happy spells. Get some experience before you grab the big formulas. If you have any questions you are welcome to e-mail me, I will be honoured to help you. Good luck with your magick!
