BIOGRAPHIES

Elizabeth Durbin is a Cheyenne native who returned to her roots in 1989 after many years of residence in Colorado, California, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. She has spent her life writing: as a newspaper reporter, editor, freelancer and writing teacher. She is the mother of three sons and likes to brag about her two grandsons.

Rebecca Marlene Siemsen: "I am proud of being a woman and celebrating the power of who I am as a writer. I believe that poetry is language that speaks to the heart, and so I, with my writing, hope to touch the hearts of many who believe that honesty, unconditional love, and spirit make us all creative human beings. I have a Native American background in the Blackfoot Tribe through my mother; my father is German and Irish. I write for the children on the streets, in foster homes, or those abandoned, some who I have given love and a home for as I adopted them. My life as a Service Missionary and Teacher from 1976-1990 has taught me that I can endure much and receive much more in return." Rebecca now lives in Missouri, but her poetry and presence reamin a part of Cheyenne.

Mike Dieters is a resident of Cheyenne and a student at the University of Wyoming. He has been active in creating forums for Wyoming poets. His performances are always memorable events.

Jim Humburg has lived quietly in Cheyenne for many years. He is a humble man who does not tend to attract much attention.

Eno Nevsky says, "I am simply the eternal refugee." He won't tell us where he is from, saying that it doesn't matter. "All that is important about me is that I am a professional poet". Rumors associate him with the unorganized country of Ruthenia. He has lived in many places. His address in Wyoming is a secret, "so I can come and go as I please, like the wind that I love so much." Like everything else about him, his age is indeterminate, but there are a few flecks of grey in his hair, and some very strange scars on his arms.

Michael Riversong is a native of the Rocky Mountain region. He travels extensively performing original music, doing private environmental consulting, and facilitating advanced scientific research. His first book, Design Ecology, a nonfiction work on environmental enhancement techniques, was published by Borderland in 1996. He has several other books in progress, including a music theory teaching method, a chemistry manual, and a sequel to Design Ecology.
