About
the Race:
- Sponsored by Main
Street Fairmont
- Registration and award's presentation are
located at the Veteran's Plaza on Adams Street in Downtown Fairmont
- Race begins on Madison Street
- 5K run and 5K walk both begin @ 2:00 (walkers
are asked to start behind runners)
- Please make checks payable to Main Street
Fairmont, fees are non-refundable

Course:
- The course
consists of rolling paved roads with the last mile downhill to the
finish!
- Split timing at the one and two mile marks
- One water stop near the midway point
- Start on Madison, turn left on Jackson, left up
Cleveland, left on Adams, right on Jefferson and across the High Level
Bridge, right on 310 and across the 3rd street bridge, left on Gaston,
right on 10th, right on Fairmont Ave, Fairmont Ave will turn back onto
Adams and 3 blocks to the finish

Entry
Fee and Registration:
- Cost is $15 for pre-registrations postmarked by
Nov 1, 2006
- Cost for same day registration and postmarked
after Nov 1 is $20
- Same day registration begins at 12:30 and ends
at 1:30
- Proceeds to benefit the downtown revitalization
efforts

- 5 year age categories:
- 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,
35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65 and over
- Awards for top three overall and for each age
category for run
- Awards for top 5 overall male and female for
walk
- Long sleeve premium t-shirts guaranteed for all
pre-registered runners, limited quantities available for race day
registration
- Random prize drawings before awards ceremony
(must be present to win)
- Food and beverages provided for volunteers and
participants
- Pizza, cookies, fruit, and water
- Portable toilets will be available at the
start/finish
- Race photos and results will be posted on
IPlayOutside
