1900 Wyoming Co., WV Federal census contains all information on the original and is indexed by "every" surname within each household. Softcover, 29 pages, $24.00 includes postage (or the INDEX may be purchased separately for $4.00).

1910 Wyoming Co., WV Federal Census INDEX is a superb index which was compiled by W. Barbe Cook. It contains the name of the head of household, including the name of the spouse. It gives the number of children in the family and for those whose surname differs from the head of household, their name, age and relationship is given. Softcover, $5.75 includes postage.

"Families of Wyoming Co., WV", also known as FOWC, was started in 1983 to aid researchers because there was no genealogical society for this county. Four issues are published each year and each issue contains 30-40 pages. Included in each issue are ancestor charts, Bible records, family group sheets, cemetery records, free queries, photo's, vital records, unpublished church minutes and family histories. Each issue has it's own everyname index. Queries are free, but must show a connection to Wyoming County. All back issues are available as follows:

Peter MILLER/Celia WALKER and descendants:

Peter MILLER b. ca 1785 was a resident of Giles Co., VA (1815 tax list and 1820 census), and Logan Co., VA (1824 and 1827 tax lists, 1830 census, 1833, 1835 and 1837 tax lists, 1840 census and 1843 tax list). He had children by both his first wife, Elizabeth, and his second wife, Celia WALKER, dau of Rev. War soldier,Oliver WALKER. He apparently lost his first wife after 1830 and married Celia before 1840. His children included:

Prior to the marriage of Peter and Celia, she had several illegitimate children, Jacob WALKER b. ca 1826 (m. Nancy MILLER), George WALKER b. ca 1827 (m. Rachel TOLER) and a son referred to as Richard or Reece WALKER (is he also known as John?). After the death of Peter, she married twice more, once to a COOK and last, in 1868, to William ELSWICK (the father of Martha, above). Those researching Celia WALKER may want to see June 1815/June 1816 Giles Co., VA court records for the death of Oliver WALKER's wife. It will be at least a year before this MILLER/WALKER research is published in book form. A descendant is combining my research on the MILLER family with family photo's and interesting stories.
