Elizabeth Paggott

Nothing is known of Elizabeth, or her parentage.  It is fair to assume that she was of English heritage, though whether she married Nicholas in England, as some claim, or in Ireland, is not known.  If in Ireland, then she would undoubtedly have had English, rather than Irish parents, for there was practically no intermarriage between the 2 cultures.

The background for this page is of Mountmellick, where Elizabeth and Nicholas Newlin lived, before emigrating to Pennsylvania.
