This work, at the outset of Hitler’s rise, led to the establishment of the United Nations and its relevance to post-9/11 geo-political foreign policy by the governments of the United States and Great Britain is evident--the precise formula being executed by Bush and Blair governments!

UNION NOW WITH BRITAIN was Streit’s second edition and expanded version of UNION NOW, which was widely distributed and read during WWII in America and England, what George Orwell called “this much-discussed book”.

This is the original blueprint for a One World Government, a “World Federation”.

Here is what else George Orwell had to say about Streit’s books and proposal for “Union Now”:

 

“Mr. Streit…wants the democracies to gang up against the dictatorships… he goes further than most of the others and offers a plan which…is startling…

 

…Briefly, what Mr Streit suggests is that the democratic nations, starting with fifteen which he names, should voluntarily form themselves into a union … similar to the United States, with a common government, common money, and complete internal free trade…Later, other states could be admitted to the Union when and if they "proved themselves worthy". It is implied all along that the state of peace and prosperity existing within the Union would be so enviable that everyone else would soon be pining to join it.

… they contain within their own territories everything they need, and Mr. Streit is probably right in claiming that their combined strength would be so great as to make any attack on them hopeless…

This work was called "this much-discussed book" by George Orwell and reveals the original plan for a One World Government, that the influential Mr. Streit called The United States of Man and PAX AMERICANA (peace of America)....PAX DEI (peace of God)...a revived PAX ROMANA! This book had a significant influence in its day and the author’s intent in writing this book is plain to see as he declared its purpose on the front and back jackets in the following words:

Ours is not the first modern world - there was Rome...Had Rome not fallen, would Man have needed 2,000 years to step from Aristotle on to Descartes, and seven generations more to step from Descartes on to Darwin?

Our Rome need not fall. To live and grow to greater marvels it needs but ...the faith in Man. Man's worst weakness is that he is always under-estimating Man. He has never seen too large, he has always seen too small, too small. He has never had too much faith in what Man could do; he has always had too little.

We, too, can obtain nobility of the soul. With it, and with the Union's principle he lived by and kept alive, we can achieve Lincoln's goal. Together, we can found the "Great Republic" he foresaw "for man's vast future. WE can be the ones to bring to our confused, aspiring species what men have sought since at Babel they began the building of "a city and a tower whose top may reach unto heaven."

Let us hasten agreement by starting with as few of these as we need TO EQUIP THIS UNION FROM THE START WITH OVERWHELMING SUPERIORITY IN POWER....UNTIL THE UNION SHALL GRADUALLY BECOME THE GOVERNMENT OF ALL MANKIND AND ARMAMENT BE REDUCED TO A WORLD POLICE FORCE.

It might well be called PAX AMERICANA, since it can come only if we Americans take the lead in making it....And when the Union has become universal, men may call its peace, PAX DEI, remembering that it is the "peace of God which passeth all understanding," as St. Paul said.
