The Squad
This is part of my grandfathers squad. They are with the 57 mm. anti-tank gun that he manned.(From left to right.) Dale Hartsog, Bernard Whittington, Roy Halloway, James McCarty, and John Mills. August 15, 1944.
On Guard Duty
This picture was taken after the war. My grandfather was put in the government military after the war and was put in charge of a county near the Czech and German border. His job was to control all migrations into and out of the counry of Germany in his section. These to Russian soldiers were in Czech while my grandfather took the picture from Germany
H.Q. Company
My grandfather was in H.Q. Company of the 1st Batln. 417th Regiment. Here the company poses for an organized picture.
