CONCLUSION

Polymers are so commonly used in real life situations, but there are still limitations on use of polymers. For examples, plastic hinges are unsuitable for fire-resisting doors; UPVC pipes are not suitable for acting as hot water pipes and urea-formaldehyde cannot be used outdoors. In order to improve these problems, additives, such as fire-retardant additives, are needed to be included. Although there are some limitations on uses of polymers, polymers still commonly used. This is because polymers have a lot of advantages, such as having inexpensive cost, light in weight, a wide variety of forms and colours, good thermal and electrical insulation and so on. Therefore, in a conclusion, polymers cannot be taken place at all.
