For those of you that do not know what is going on I will explain.FOX has hired a firm of lawyers to surf the net and shut down any site they think is infringing on FOX's copyright laws. So in other words they E-mail you and tell you that if you do not delete all of the material that mentions a FOX character they will shut you down. Which makes it really hard for you to have a X-Files site!!I recently learned of a woman that had her site of fan-fic shut down because she used the words Mulder and Scully!!!They told her that she had a week to get rid of the material. She went back the next day and her site was gone!!! They did not even give her the full week!! Not even a full day!!!!!
I mean it makes completly no sense for them to shut us down!!!! We are giving them free publicity!!! Think of all the money they spend in promotions? We do the same thing without charging!!!! It is becoming harder and harder for X-Philes to find soundwavs, photos, video clips, and fan-fic!! Just 5 months ago I could do a general search for the X-Files and find loads of soundwavs, etc. Now it is becoming virtually impossible!!! So please E-mail me so I cna add your name to the petition!! it is desperatly needed!!! If we do not try to stop them they will continue until there are no sites at all!!!! Please let your voice be heard!!
