For your viewing pleasure....

Here's a decent look at the brackets in place. I used the old bucket mounting holes on the core support with L-joist hangers bent to fit with a vise and attached them to the mounting holes on the new buckets. Ignore the dork front and centre (mommy made me smile). You can see I had to work around some stuff... one misc. bolt you won't have to deal with is where I mounted the relay for my air horns. You can see the air-horn compressor on the left (big red thing)

Finished product. Not washed yet, GTI emblem not on yet, no duckbill or upper grill spoiler installed yet, but you get the idea. Looks purty:) Total cost = $160cdn (includes grille, buckets and H4 lights. I already had the fenders)

Putting the girl in place, ready to get a C-section

C-section done... the motor's OUT!

No engine:) It's fun standing in places you've never stood before.

Motor out, parking it. Guy in front is holding the axles off the ground while we roll it in place

The Mad Bastard powerplant in place.

Firing it up for the first time!

My Dad's mint 92GTI. He picked it up in this shape for less than I paid for my 84 (I paid $2700 CDN!)
