"Dollhouse Miniatures" magazine is bringing back their "Workshop Wisdom" column and has issued the following announcement:

" After several years' hiatus, and in response to many readers' requests, we've decided to bring back a column that was a staple of Dollhouse Miniatures and its earlier incarnation, Nutshell News: "Workshop Wisdom." The column collects tips from readers for making miniature projects simpler, eliminating frustrations common to working with tiny parts and assemblies, using modern materials to emulate something else in scale, and producing more professional-looking final products.

We're pleased to announce that well-known IGMA Artisans Pete and Pam Boorum will oversee the column. They'll collect and evaluate the cleverest submissions for publication.

Some guidelines: Workshop Wisdom is for tips, not projects, so please try to keep the description of your idea to 300 words or less. Include a photo or drawing if it will help explain your idea. If you use conventional mail to make your submission and you'd like to have it back, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with the submission. Otherwise, all submissions become property of Madavor Media LLC.

Please send your ideas to: Workshop Wisdom, 79 Sebbins Pond Drive, Bedford, NH 03110 or e-mail them to smallife@rcn.com. Obviously, it will take a while before we get enough material to make this column work regularly. But please look for the return of an old friend in future editions of the magazine."
