Waring Genealogy by Judy Ford

Here is the beginning of what I hope will become an ongoing project. When I first started my own family research on the Warings from Ballincash, County Wexford, Ireland, I had only a (somewhat inaccurate)genealogy written in 1911,scribbled family notes falling out of a binder,a memoir of Thomas Waring, written by his son William, in the late 1800's, and a packet of family letters, and some great old photographs. What began as small family endeavor has grown into continued research on other Waring branches.

In the meantime, click on my links to jump start your own genealogical research. If you are a WARING or have a WARING line, click on my Waring Family Letter,ca.1875, to read about the Warings from Ballincash, County Wexford, Ireland, and their immigration to American soil.Take a look at the Waring ancestral farm, and the meetinghouse that they helped to build in 1841. Lydia Stewart Waring was my great great grandmother, wife of William Waring of Cecil County, Maryland, who gave the land for the meetinghouse, Friends school, and burying ground in Colora. The Warings lived in Colora for over 120 years. See what great WARING genealogical information can be found at the website of Nick Baker, from England, who has a WARING line of ancestry from Joseph Waring of Ireland. Best of Luck in your search for your roots; more Waring information will be appearing here in the future.
