At the moment we have approx. 20 properties for sale at the south coast of Sri Lanka, mostly situated between Galle and Weligama. We own seven properties ourselves and have deed copies of various other properties. Owners of other properties pay us a commission when their property is sold through us. |

Owning Property in Sri Lanka: Since the laws are uncomplicated in Sri Lanka with regards to foreigners owning land, people have been buying here for many years. You can either buy a property, take 99 years lease or with local collaboration. As a foreigner, to have the property in your name, you have to pay 100% tax on the sales price of the property. |
The Galle Area and Southern Sri Lanka:
Galle is the southern port town of Sri Lanka, 122km from the capital Colombo and home to the 90 acre Dutch Galle Fort. The Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the only place in Sri Lanka to retain old world charm in its winding streets and Dutch and British architectural remains. Aside from the Fort, the south is famous for its coastal seafaring culture, abundant seafood, white beaches, diving, snorkeling and surfing, stilt fisherman at Weligama, gem and jewelry merchants, Elephant Polo, the antiques town of Ambalangoda and further a field the nature reserves of Yala, Uda Walawa and Bundala. |
