Traveling throughout the United States, especially the Southwest and Plains States. The mode of travel has been via motorcycle, '32 Ford and by travel trailer. Most recently we have updated our camper to an RV.ReadingDuring the Summer of 2001, my daughter and I "re-discovered" Route 66 in our 1932 Ford Coupe.
During the Summer of 2002, my family and I re-discovered (on bicycles) the abandonded Pennsylvania Turnpike. We also visited Gettysburg, Hershey and St. Louis.
The Summer of 2003 we were especially blessed in our travels.
During the Summer of 2004, our daughter, three of our grandaughters and I took a roadtrip of a lifetime. Our trip took us from Ohio, across the middle of the nation, to the Pacific Coast, the Grand Canyon, Route 66 and much more!!
In 2005, I had the pleasure of visiting Austria with some students and a colleague from my high school.
In Summer of 2006 we visited the Upper Peninsula of both Michigan and Canada, as well as family trip to Ohiopyle Pennsylvania!!!
2007 found us on the road, a little closer to home. Our first trip encompassed the western portion of Pennsylvania's US Route 30, Gettysburg, the Skyline Drive and parts of West Virginia. We also visited the North Carolina Outer Banks with a portion of our children and grandchildren.
2010 took us back to Austria, Germany, the Grand Canyon (via Route 66) and Monument Valley.
2011 we have spent time visiting Gettysburg, Herhsey the Lancaster area and biking the Abandonded Pennysylvania Turnpike for a second time.
2012 took us on an epic Western Trek to San Francisco, Yosemite, down the Pacfic Coast Highway, through Malibu, Hollywood and back to Ohio via Route 66.
2013 took a friend & me across Route 66 to Tucumcari, then north to the Black Hills. At the end of August, we will be visiting the U.S. Northeast , portions of Nova Scotia, Quebec and 1000 Islands.
2014 we took our Bucket List Trip & joined the Speeder Community with our Fairmont CN MT-14
Future travel plans include return visits to Ireland, Austria, the Black Hills, Yellowstone, Sierra Nevadas, Route 66 and _ _ _ _ _ _ .
I enjoy reading a variety of materials. Usually, the subjects center around educational topics. For enjoyment reading I have been reading the Lee Child series. My latest books have been the "Leisure Seeker" and "Route 66".Independent Hot Rod Builder
I have modified and built several pre-1960 vehicles. Our last project was building a "ground-up" 1932 Ford Coupe.ComputersOur latest project is the"re-restoring" of our 1967 GMC Van.
In an effort to promote our Auto Technology course, I joined the cyber world. Aside from this page, I have constructed a Home Page for the Auto Mechanics Program I taught for many years.
I have designed a ninth-grade web-based World History course, (chuhworldhistory.com) which I taught through the 2010 school year. My last teaching assignment, 2010 -2011, was eight-grade World History.
The longest computer-related project I have had is overseeing my high school graduation class' website.
