Personal Interests
Travel
Traveling throughout the United States, especially the Southwest and Plains States.  The mode of travel has been via motorcycle, '32 Ford and by travel trailer. Most recently we have updated our camper to an RV.

During the Summer of 2001, my daughter and I "re-discovered" Route 66  in our 1932 Ford Coupe.

During the Summer of 2002, my family and I re-discovered (on bicycles) the abandonded Pennsylvania Turnpike. We also visited Gettysburg, Hershey and St. Louis.

The Summer of 2003 we were especially blessed in our travels.

During the Summer of 2004, our daughter, three of our grandaughters and I took a roadtrip of a lifetime. Our trip took us from Ohio, across the middle of the nation, to the Pacific Coast, the Grand Canyon, Route 66 and much more!!

In 2005, I had the pleasure of visiting Austria with some students and a colleague from my high school.

In Summer of 2006 we visited the Upper Peninsula of both Michigan and Canada, as well as family trip to Ohiopyle Pennsylvania!!!

2007 found us on the road, a little closer to home. Our first trip encompassed the western portion of Pennsylvania's US Route 30, Gettysburg, the Skyline Drive and parts of West Virginia. We also visited the North Carolina Outer Banks with a portion of our children and grandchildren,

Future travel plans include return visits to Ireland, Austria, the Black Hills, Route 66 and _ _ _ _ _ _ .

Reading
I enjoy reading a variety of materials. Usually, the subjects center around educational topics. My latest book was the "Leisure Seeker".
Independent Hot Rod Builder
I have modified and built several pre-1960 vehicles. Our last project  was building a "ground-up" 1932 Ford Coupe.

Our latest project is the"re-restoring" of our 1967 GMC Van.

Computers
In an effort to promote our Auto Technology course, I joined the cyber world. Aside from this page, I have constructed a Home Page for the Auto Mechanics Program I taught for many years.

I have also constructed a web-based World History course, (chuhworldhistory.com) which I presently teach.

I also have the pleasure of overseeing my high school graduation class' website.
