Another
item checked off the Bucket List . In effort to repair some
fiberglass issues
with body,
as well as re-align the body & doors, I found the car "needed" to be personalized. This Fairmont MT-14 , track inspection car, was built in Canada for the Canadian National Railroad in the early 1980's. The original the car had no seats. This was a great running and reliable motorcar when I purchased it in Idaho. The owner I bought the car from installed four seats, a hydraulic turntable, and a 10 gallon fuel tank. In 2010, he installed new floorboards, a carburetor and fuel pump rebuild, starter refurbishing, a new chain, new points and condenser, spark arrestor, including designing & installing an awesome turntable!, & much more. Below is thumbnail history of "my" Track Inspection Car, since leaving the Canadian National Railroad service. My history starts about six pictures in. . . . but before that . . . |
