ALONZO CABELL BECKNER

Alonzo Cabell Beckner was my grandfather,and the son of George and Teressa Beckner, born April,4,1886 in Franklin Co. Virginia. He married Lucy Emaline Stump Aug.14,1904.. I never knew him. My father said that he was a man that a lot of people feared, including his own family. He was a bully-type person..When my dad, "William" was about nine years old, "Alonzo" his Dad , disappeared.. They say he got up from the supper table to go to the garden to get a tomato, and never returned. [Wheres Maulder When you need him?] It happened in the 1920s. As far as I know Alonzo has never been seen since.
