This is the home of Bjorn and dee dee Andersson, and our Storm "state-of-the-art security crew." The house sits atop our 100 acre mountain in a small town in West Virginia, where our "Kings of Dogdom" enjoy the freedom of being able to roam in approximately 10 safe fenced acres immediately surrounding the house, complete with a running mountain stream in which to romp and play.
Welcome to our AWARD WINNING page! Browse around and visit our precious mastiffs. Many of our babies are gone now, but if they obeyed us, (they all had selective hearing!!!) they now wait for us just beyond the moon.
It was never our policy to breed just for the sake of making puppies, or to breed to suit another breeder's tastes. We believe the world doesn't need more dogs....it needs BETTER dogs. We developed our line for ourselves, although we try to share it with those who appreciate the mastiffs we produce. When we have a litter, after we choose the pick puppies for ourselves, we make the other puppies available to waiting homes. We have bred or owned more than 40 champions. We do not apologize for pet quality mastiffs that have come from our breeding, for we believe that every dog deserves to be appreciated for their good qualities, whatever those may be. We do not sell or place adult mastiffs and we do not offer stud services to outside bitches. We never breed to a top ranked mastiff simply because of its high ranking. We choose dogs for our breeding program based on qualities we see and like, combined with pedigree. WE BELIEVE IN PEDIGREES.
The Mastiff is one of the first "HEAD" breeds, if not the original, and throughout our pages we include close ups of our Storm heads. It is not accidental that as you follow our generations of Mastiffs you will notice consistent improvement in head type, bone, depth of body and overall substance, the traits that make the Mastiff stand apart from all other breeds.
Our beautiful Ch. Peersleigh Storm Sherman and Ch. Storm Trooper of Lazy Hill. They are the first Mastiffs in the history of the breed to win an all-breed Best In Show Brace together, and they also won numerous Groups and Best Brace at two National Specialties.

Ch. Storm Trooper of Lazy Hill, born September, 1982,
was sired by Lazy Hill Luath out of Willowledge Meredith.
Storm Cannon of Royal Oak, born April, 1994,
was sired by Storm Gruffudd of Royal Oak out of Storm Philly of Royal Oak.
Cannon is linebred back to Trooper's parents. Even with a 12 year span between the birth of these two Storm
dogs, the pictures are a clear example of how a planned breeding program can bring to life an old set of genes.
Pedigrees breed true, notwithstanding that many breeders disagree. If you carefully set your genes they do breed
true. The picture above is Storm's Aristocratic Guardian aka Grimmie - and Grimmie is a son of Cannon's.
dee dee and Bjorn are members in good standing of the Mastiff Club of America, Inc. since 1982 and 1986, respectively, and dee dee was a member of Redwood Empire Mastiff Club and is a member of Midwest Mastiff Fanciers for nearly as long and she is proud to be a member of the Old English Mastiff Club and the Mastiff Association, both in England.
This is the new book authored by dee dee and published by Doral Publishing, Inc, (click on Doral to go straight to the Publisher). This book is extensive and includes Top Producing Mastiff Stud Dogs and Brood Bitches, Top Show and Obedience Mastiffs, Ancient, UK and American History, Information on the Standard, How to Select a Breeder and Puppy, Temperament, Mechanics of Breeding and Whelping, Mastiff Anecdotes and many previously unseen Mastiff artwork. Another important reason to own this book is it has become preferential reading for today's well-bred and discriminating Mastiff, demonstrated by this picture of BIS/BISS Ch. Ridgewood's Otis, owned by Joe and Carla Sanchez.
"Aristocratic Guardian" is receiving world-wide critical acclaim from the Mastiff Community, as well as high praise from such notables as Susan Thorpe-Vargus, PhD (Dog World Magazine - Feature Article author) and Joan Hahn (co-author and author of two Mastiff books). Joan's review can be read in the January 1999, Vol. 116, No. 1 AKC GAZETTE. To read some of the other reviews, presented at the Amazon website, click here.
Our Galleries contain pictures of many beautiful and notable mastiffs. Please visit us there.
The drawing, above, is Eng.Ch. Marc Anthony, owned by A. J. Thorpe and drawn by R. H. Moore in the late 1800s. It was included as part of a page of drawings of Crystal Palace winning dogs published in the news in the UK. To the many kind people who continue to contact us to express an interest in a Storm
bred puppy, we have not bred any of our Mastiffs since 1998 and we have no plans
to do any breeding of our Mastiffs in the foreseeable future. Please do not continue
to contact us to reserve puppies. Thank you. Storm Mastiffs
