The paint job

Well, Boog and I FINALLY finished work on the new paint job. It turned out REAL well!

We got the paint from Larry @ Weaver's Auto in Madison, WV. He mixed up a batch of custom paint that only he makes, we call it "Larry" Black. Creative, huh!! After a GOOD bit of body work on the hatch (I must admit, it was much more than I expected) and a couple other spots on the car ("that damn hole just kept gettin BIGGER & BIGGER!!"... LOL), we finally got around to actually painting the car. Boog sprayed 2 coats of basecoat & 3 coats of clear coat!

Here's the Saleen wing after delivery on my porch w/ my watchdog, I mean cat. And here's a pic of the car after installation of the wing. It actually wasn't that hard, it just took us about 3 hours. But it was our first experience w/ a Saleen wing on an LX hatch & we had some common rust spots to patch up on the hatch.

Here's the Saleen front air dam after delivery. I purchased both the wing, brake light, and the air dam from Design Concepts. The air dam is not urethane, it's fiberglass, but the fit & finish on both the wing & air dam were great. I highly recommend Design Concepts. Their prices are low & they make high quality stuff.
