The Ground Zero Report

Well I must admit I have been hoping for a last show from one of these three federation, but a joint show from all of them. This is the kind of stuff dreams are made of, am I right?

First let’s get to importain news, the press conference this weekend at the old All Out War headquaters. What are some questions we can hope will be answered. Hopefully we’ll get a better understanding if this is a one time deal or the resurge of great wrestling action weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Also who we really can expect at the show and not expect. I also hope to see if anyone is still in shape, these are all things I am going to be happy to report back to you guys, the great fans of these federations.

Let’s weigh the questions. Ground Zero, really the final conflict or just the beginning of a new era? If it is the last show ever, it show be ever bit as good as their best super shows. Namely BPW End of Days, TWF Sudden Death IV, and All Out War Hallowcaust. Most the matches in the show are dream matches, like Lostsoul vs. Shane Neal, the Beast vs. Hugh Jass rematch, even the Moe Dix vs. Laney strap match should prove to be top quality entertainment. So where am I going with this? Well if they continue with wrestling on a semi-independent level. Can we expect more cut and paste storylines as in the past, or new fresh exciting entertainment? Will the same guys be the top dogs, or will the guys who earn their shots be at the top of the crop? Guys like Lostsoul and Shane Neal never held the Warlord title. Lostsoul was a top performer from day one, even making his change over from top heel to super face without much conflict at the same time Shane Neal went from mid-carder to main event status and successfully dropped the horrified “Suga” gimmick. These are guys who have proved their worth, unlike wrestlers such as HBL who’s push was given to quick. Going straight from a storyline with Moe Dix to top dog is unheard of. Major problems in BPW, where wrestlers like “G-Force” Big N was scared and wouldn’t defend his title against The eXtremist. He just perfered to vacate the title before locking up with EXT. Who was making up this stuff back in those days? I hope these new writers can put a new and entertaining script together, and not screw thing up totally.

Also the question of where and how often would they do shows? Well rumors suggest Ground Zero will be held at the Princeton Recreation Center but that is not confirmed yet. So if they keep the federation going, what location would be used. Rumors have also suggested the old BPW Arena. With super shows being held bi-monthly at an indoor location around West Virginia. Not a bad idea if you as me. How often is hard to say, because doing a weekly show will be hard. To hard to run storylines and also place the federation in a bad placement of part time wrestlers. Doing bi-weekly shows though might elimatate the some of the part-time wrestlers, cut cost, and work storylines in better, as well as give fans the feeling of seeing something worth seeing. I might be wrong but I don’t think I am.

Well I’m tired of ranting on, so we will see what becomes of this press conference.

All I know is lots of questions and not any answers, and I hope to get to report back to you guys on this very soon. Thank you and God bless!
