Its been too long since I last wrote, however I bring great news.
As “HOLY SH**!!” chants echo through the hills of southern West Virginia, the guys of All Out War have finally done the unthinkable…the near impossible…the highly doubted…in what was coming down to crunch time…do or die time…AOW has officially booked a pro ring for the weekend of Ground Zero.
Final plans are being worked on to take full advantage of the day and film as many as three AOW Explosion shows and cap off the evening with the finale: GROUND ZERO!
The Ground Zero Booking Committee met late Thursday night to lay out plans to film the three Explosions to give everyone ample time in the pro ring, as well as address some loose ends that were left unattended with the sudden end of All Out War. As many as 28 matches will be filed in total on the afternoon and evening of June 25, 2005, with approximately 6 matches scheduled per Explosion and 10 possible for Ground Zero. Time and lighting will provide some obvious problems as the filming is most certainly going to extend past high sunlight.
However, the pro ring is going to be set up at the old BPW arena and will be set up in time to give some training to get rid of rust that has built up over the past two years. The show will, in fact, go on.
During the day-long, 20-plus match extravaganza, we will see many highly anticipated matches such as Krawler versus eXtremist, Beast versus Hugh, the 6-man-elimination for the Warlord Title, the All-Star Battle Royal, and many others. There are also a lot of interesting stories developing with the forthcoming event.
First, and most interesting, is there is a strong possibility of a resurrection of Owner’s pride and joy, the tag team of WAR. We know this: Bobby War will be involved in the events, however DJ Diablo will not. Beast is a slim possibility to rejoin the faction that, according to his feelings, held him back. eXtremist is a very doubtful candidate to rejoin Owner in this venture. In fact, eXtremist is rumored to have developed a new tag team to combat whatever Owner comes up with to recreate his powerhouse tag team. So, the AOW tag division might just rise again with the federation.
Secondly, Hellbound Loser is considering a return to the ring, and could finally meet Mr. Biggs one on one without the cops. HBL is one of the legends of BPW and AOW, and an event such as this would not be complete without him.
The roster for the shows is still not complete and the booking team is working hard to confirm all the superstars. I was asked to reach out to any star to contact the booking team and confirm your appearance at the events. The shows will be going on all day, so a full day commitment is needed. In particular, I am referring to members of TWF who have expressed interest in the past, but have not given a definitive answer as to whether they will be in attendance.
Filming is tentatively scheduled for approximately 1:30pm for the first AOW Explosion in two years. The main event of the first show is going to really set the tone for the entire day as eXtremist and Krawler lock it up for the first time ever in aone on one match in an AOW ring.
Superstars are asked to plan to be at the BPW arena at around 11:00am to help with set up and for some practice.
Until next time, when we look more closely at the cards for the four-show extravaganza, this has been Beyond the Tarp, an Artis Feelgood production, made possible by the support of readers like you.
