Well here we are again, another heated exchange written by yours truly. I want to start off by saying thanks to everyone who has put any effort into putting the smallest bit of info that better help get this show pieced together. Now onto the column.
It’s been in the making on and off for the last few years, and titled many different things, but now Ground Zero seems to be on the warpath to being the greatest show ever for a few backyarders to throw together.
There is one thing I do want to try to stress and that is lots and lots of training. Wrestling training, strength training, and cardio training. If you don’t train, don’t expect to look good in the ring. Plain and simple.
Let’s take a look at a few key matches. Hugh Jass vs. Beast. A match we never could see in it’s full intensity due in part to ring strength and simple played out physics. Two titans of the ring will set into the squared circle and give it their 110% to prove who the better man is. I cannot say enough about how much I want to see this match. If it goes well I mean. Beast has got to do everything within his power to keep the slightly lighter Hugh Jass down. Avoid the Hugh Jass Splash at all cost. Same can be said for Hugh avoiding the 5 Star Hog Splash. I very much doubt to see more then the usual suplexs and DDT in this battle of the giants. On a downside it could look like two fat totally out of shape guys rolling around the ring. That would make this hyped match a painful shot in the heart for many All Out War fans as well as myself.
Now onto “The Best of Feds” battle royal. As I see it there is no way anyone could screw this match up. It is a sure winner for the fans and the wrestlers. No matter who wins, we all win! Short and simple!
Then there is the first blood Andrew Warhawk vs. Aaron Phillips match. Now I’m not going to say this will be the greatest match of the show, but I do believe it will be a better than good performance from both wrestlers if they just use their key moves to their advantage. Phillips has a decent size advantage and needs to learn how to control the match and set a slower pace against the faster Warhawk. Also he will need to use a lot of high impact moves to set Warhawk down for the count. As for Warhawk, he will need to use his speed to keep Phillips reeling on the defensives. No matter what kind of power Warhark displays he will need to stay one step ahead of Phillips to be the victor. Then again I could be dead wrong and this match will suck worse than any horrific long and boring Warhawk match we have ever seen.
Finally the final outlook of the whole show. With a wide range of matches, decent promos, and the time given to prep for this epic event. We all will come out winners. No matter what happens, if the show is worse the BPW Xtreme November we will still be winners. Why? Because we will have fun and we will have comeback and give everyone their final taste of the greatest backyard wrestling in the history of West Virginia and Virginia. EXT Out!
