LEN'S 36 PICKUP

THIS PICTURE TAKEN IN YOUNGSTOWN OHIO ABOUT 1963

I bought this pickup in 1957. In 1958 I started to street rod it. A 50 Olds was installed, mated to the stock running gear. After many axle keys a complete ground up rebuild started. After completion it was shown on the I.S.C.A show circuit the years 60 thru 65. This picture was taken in Youngstown Ohio (circa 1963). To this day I still own it.(62years). In this picture it had the same running gear that was installed in 1959, a 1958 Olds J-2 engine, with a 1940 Cad. standard transmission, and 57 Chevy rear end. Top is chopped 3-1/2". Red Metal flake paint. The bed cover lifts hydraulicly. A Mustang II IFS with power steering was installed in 1996. The Olds engine, standard trans. and paint are history.

A 350 Chevy with street cam, 4 barrel, 700r4 trans and a rear with 309 gears from an 86 Cammaro has been installed. New paint called flaming orange metalic from Dupont (a type of the candy apple paint) has been aplied.

THIS PICTURE IS FROM THE CUSTOM TRUCK MAGAZINE TAKEN AT COLUMBUS OH. GOOD GUYS 2009
