Kurt Angle answered the question: Why? Kurt said that his name is Kurt Angle, and he'd like to answer some questions he's been getting from the fans since last Monday night. Questions like Why? What were you thinking? How could you do this to your country? Kurt assured everyone that he's still our Olympic Hero. He's still an American Hero. He's still everything that makes this country great. You know why? Because he's a winner. With Survivor Series coming up, he started to think. Who else is a winner? Who does he want on his side when everything's on the line? Well, let's see. Undertaker? He's been here forever, and what has he accomplished? Kurt has done more in 2 years than the Undertaker has done in a decade. Kane? Kane's not a winner. He's a follower.

A guy who let's the man who burned him as a child lead him around on a leash? Just pathetic. Chris Jericho? Rock? Please! Those are the two most egomaniacal self absorbed jerks in the history of the business. He's supposed to put his career in the hands of these four? I don't think so. There's only one man who Kurt Angle can trust to get the job done. A role model to anyone who wants to be a winner. That man is Stone Cold Steve Austin. Think about it. No Mercy. Summer Slam. King of the Ring. Judgment Day, to name a few, and oh yeah. Wrestlemania. After Wrestlemania. Does Austin cheat? Yes. Does he play fair? No. When it's all on the line, does he get the job done? Oh hell yeah, and that's who he wants on his team. He feels safe putting his career in Austin's hands. They may not be the best of friends, but the man backs up what he says.

He's without a doubt the toughest SOB that Kurt has ever faced. The bottom line is that the guy knows how to win. As much as Kurt loves his country, and he does, but he loves his job. He'll be damned if he's going to put his job in jeopardy by teaming with some WWF losers. Any of the fans out there would do the same thing. In fact, how dare they be upset with him. Hey, Kurt didn't lie. He never said that he wasn't defecting. He still has his intensity, integrity and his intelligence. Shane and Stone Cold were shown standing next to Kurt, and Kurt said that now that he's on the side of Stone Cold and Shane, he knows that he'll be employed after Survivor Series, and the fans will still get to see their Olympic Hero for a long long time. It's true. It's damn true. Shane said that was a moving speech and Austin told Kurt that he's proud of him!
