Welcome, fellow sad-cases, to the fastest growing WWE custom cover site on the net!!!

THIS VERSION OF THE SITE IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED. PLEASE VISIT THE IMPROVED VERSION AT WWW.WWEVIDEOCOVERS.2YA.COM.

I am teh |-I3><0R, I own. I have been making covers since December 2004 (starting with my Armageddon 2004 cover), but I have backtracked and made covers from events previous. If you have any comments, questions or requests, then be sure to e-mail me at hectorisyourhookup@hotmail.com. Enjoy your stay!

Site Updates

- Sunday 30th April 2006 - I have updated with my Backlash 2006 cover (DVD & VHS versions available in the PPV 2006 section).

- Wednesday 26th April 2006 - A surprise update! Check the TNA section for seven, you count them, SEVEN covers for TNA Pay-Per-Views, each one available in both DVD & VHS format. These PPVs are Genesis 2005, Turning Point 2005 (2 versions), Final Resolution 2006, Against All Odds 2006, Destination X 2006 and Lockdown 2006. I figured while I was back in England and had the right software I should treat you all.

- Friday 14th April 2006 - I have updated with my WrestleMania 22 cover (which is pure class in my opinion) and, as promised, a cover for Saturday Night's Main Event in March and covers for a custom 2-volume DVD set entitled The Deadman 14-0: Undertaker's WrestleMania Legacy. All covers are available in both DVD and VHS format. In my opinion, these are some of the finest works I have ever posted. Hope you like them. Enjoy!

- Monday 3rd April 2006 - WOW!!! What a WrestleMania! I personally thought the Triple Threat should have been last on the card though, and that Big Show & Kane should have broken up. Well, unfortunately no WrestleMania 22 cover from me for just under two weeks from now. However, as it's 'Mania time, I will be giving you some extra surprises to compensate for the lateness. My next covers will be for the premiere episode of Saturday Night's Main Event, WrestleMania 22 AND a special "Undertaker's WrestleMania Legacy 14-0" cover for DVDs featuring all of his WrestleMania wins, all of which will be available on Thursday the 13th of April when I am back in England and have access to the right software. Until then, take care!

- Tuesday 21st February 2006 - Just a mere 24 hours after bringing to you my No Way Out 2006 cover, I have updated with a special bonus: my Vengeance 2005 cover. DVD and VHS versions can be found in the Pay-Per-View 2005 section. I hadn't made one up until now as I thought I didn't have the right images, but it turns out images for the Carlito/Benjamin and Victoria/Christy matches don't exist.

- Monday 20th February 2006 - Updated with my No Way Out 2006 cover. DVD and VHS versions can be found in the Pay-Per-View 2006 section.

- Friday 17th February 2006 - As promised, I have updated with my Armageddon 2005, New Year's Revolution 2006 and Royal Rumble 2006 covers. They can be found in the all-new Pay-Per-View 2006 section. As compensation for me not being able to update as regularly this year due to study commitments in France, I decided to update with a couple of extra surprise treats: Survivor Series 2005 (yes, I decided to make one even though I still haven't found the Benoit/Booker T image) and, most importantly, I finally got around to making the cover that has been my most requested for the past year: ECW One Night Stand 2005!!! Am I good to you or what?

- Wednesday 1st February 2006 - My next updates will be my Armageddon 2005, New Year's Revolution 2006 and Royal Rumble 2006 covers, which will all be available on the site on the evening of February 17th. I can't make them until then as that is when I will be returning to England for a week and have access to the right programs.

Apologies for the lack of a Survivor Series cover as of yet, but this is where YOU come in: I need the WWE.com match image that was available before the PPV took place, for the Chris Benoit/Booker T "Best of 7 series" match. The image looks like this:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
If any of you can supply me with this image, then I will make a cover. I didn't get to save the Booker/Benoit image in time as they put it up the night before the event and I couldn't get online. I would appreciate help on that, otherwise I will not be making one. Thank you.

- Monday 19th December 2005 - Hey there! As promised, not only to celebrate Christmas, but also the 1 Year Anniversary of the site, I have delivered a big update of covers for 3, count 'em, 3 pay-per-view events: Unforgiven 2005, No Mercy 2005 and Taboo Tuesday 2005. DVD and VHS versions of all three can be found in the PPV 2005 section.

Thank you for making this the #1 place for WWE covers on the net in 2005! Let's make 2006 even better!

- Monday 12th December 2005 - If you scroll down to the first site update I ever entered in the "Older news..." section below, you will see that today marks exactly a year of this site's existence. To celebrate this, and because 2006 is just around the corner and things could get a little crowded, I have streamlined the site (in terms of the number of pages, not content, so don't panic!). We now have single sections for PPV 2004 and PPV 2005 covers, each section containing the DVD and VHS versions of each cover.

I would like to thank each and every one of my regular visitors for their support over the last year, and I hope I can continue to fulfill your custom cover needs well into 2006 and beyond. Stay tuned for a big '1st Anniversary' celebratory update in about a week's time!

- Friday 9th December 2005 - I would like to address the fact that a longtime fellow cover-maker has decided to close his doors. This cover-maker would be Stevie H, who used to run WWEVideoCovers.com. I had known for some time that the expansion of my site was putting a strain on the work-rate of my good friend Stevie, but I must admit, even I was not prepared for the effect that my site's popularity would ultimately have on his. I would like to thank Stevie for acknowledging me in his statement by recognising that there are "plenty of good DVD WWE cover makers out there". I would also ask for his sake that you please believe his excuse of this being "an age where VHS is pretty much dead" (even though he states earlier on that he would now be buying PPVs on DVD), as this is obviously a hard time for him where he needs to convince himself that he's not closing solely because he was out-performed by me. I must say it was not my intent to make him feel insecure enough to close his site down, but alas, I guess I can't really apologise for producing better work. The people have chosen their new champion, and I guess Stevie will have to file it under the heading "Life Sucks" and move on. However, I would like to thank Stevie for the brief period of friendly competition the two of us shared just after I first created my site, even though my work began to overtake his fairly early on in the game.

Good luck with whatever you do, Stevie. You were a worthy adversary, but unfortunately, nothing lasts forever, and the new blood always takes over eventually. You opened the door for me, but I was the one that walked through it. Via Con Dios.

- Thursday 20th October 2005 - Added a Fan E-Mails page, where I will post the best of the e-mails that I receive from people who collect/use my work. Reasons for the inclusion of this section are stated at the top of said page. I have also added another section to my collections page, which lists my wrestling-related collectables other than figures and DVDs. Also, just a quick update as to my status as I have had a few e-mails inquiring as to the whereabouts of my Unforgiven 2005, No Mercy 2005 and Taboo Tuesday 2005 covers. I am actually at the University of Limoges, Limousin, France at the moment, studying for the third year of my BA Honours degree in French, and will not be back in the UK until the 17th of December, and as such will not have access to the right programs until then. But...ne paniquez pas! I promise these covers, along with the covers for any subsequent pay-per-views, will be up by around that date. Sorry for the delay, and thanks for your support!

- Monday 22nd August 2005 - Well, once again I have delievered on my promise! My Summerslam 2005 cover (available in both DVD & VHS format) is now available in the PPV 2005 section, a mere 12 hours after the show ended. It's one of my better works, and I'm quite proud of it. I am currently working on my Unforgiven 2005 cover, which will be available on the night of or the day after the event.

- Tuesday 16th August 2005 - Finally updated with my Great American Bash 2005 cover (DVD & VHS versions available in the PPV 2005 section). I apologise for the delay, but I just got back from my holiday with my girlfriend in Alabama.

- Sunday 17th July 2005 - Hey there! I have updated my list of wrestling figures in the Collections section with the huge amount of figures I have purchased during my stay here in Alabama, where I am visiting my wonderful girlfriend Rachael for the summer. I would like to apologize for the lack of covers for ECW One Night Stand and Vengeance 2005, but I have simply not been able to update due to being on vacation. I am currently working on my Great American Bash 2005 cover, which will be available on the night of or the day after the event.

- Monday 23rd May 2005 - Updated with my Judgment Day 2005 cover (DVD & VHS versions available in the PPV 2005 sections). As always, remember to keep checking back to the only place where you can be guaranteed to get your Pay-Per-View covers the day after the events! I am currently working on my ECW One Night Stand cover, which will be available on the night of or the day after the event.

- Friday 20th May 2005 - Updated with my TNA Hard Justice 2005 cover (DVD & VHS versions available in the TNA section). Apologies for the late arrival, but I've had a lot on my plate with my exams, my last one of of which takes place this Monday, so from then on business shall be resumed as normal. Thank you for your patience.

- Friday 13th May 2005 - Just a quick update to note that my covers have recently been sighted on ebay, as various ebay sellers now seem to be using them for their unofficial dvds of as yet unreleased PPV events. Here is an example. I just want to take the time to state that I do NOT condone the sale of unofficial DVDs and videos in the context of a profit-making scheme, and that my covers are produced strictly as alternatives to the official covers of WWE and TNA official DVDs. However, I do hope my fellow members over at WCF will join me in my celebration during this period of expansion, as my covers continue to reach a wider audience. You helped me get to where I am today guys, and I appreciate it, but as we all know, there always comes a time when the student eclipses his mentors.

- Monday 2nd May 2005 - Updated with my Backlash 2005 cover (DVD & VHS versions available in the PPV 2005 section). I have also begun to make "Federation Years" covers using Revolution's template, which look pretty official in my opinion (DVD & VHS versions available in the Pre-2004 PPV section).

- Saturday 30th April 2005 - Updated with my TNA Lockdown 2005 cover (DVD & VHS versions available in the TNA section). I also made a couple of neccessary improvements to my No Mercy 2004 cover.

- Monday 11th April 2005 - Well, you asked for it...YOU GOT IT!!! After many requests, and since WrestleMania 21 gave me such a nostalgic feeling, I decided to bring to you the biggest surprise update since the site began. So, without further a do, I give you...OLD SCHOOL, BABY! Yes, that's right, 9 custom covers (both in DVD and VHS format) are now available in the PPV Pre-2004 section: Summerslam 88, Summerslam 89, Summerslam 90, Royal Rumble 1991, WrestleMania VII, Royal Rumble 1992, Summerslam 92 (2 Versions!) and Survivor Series 1992 a.k.a. The 6th Annual. Thanks to all of those that badgered me into making covers for these classic events. It proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and brought back some fond childhood memories! Other cover sites be warned, because we are now officially OLD-SKOOL!!!

- Tuesday 5th April 2005 - It's here!!! I have updated with my WrestleMania 21 cover, and as this event is the grandaddy of them all, I just couldn't let it go by without doing something special. So, for the first time since the birth of this site, I have made...wait for it...three versions! Yes, you read correctly, three! Whether you prefer poster themes or superstar pics, there's something to suit everyone. DVD & VHS versions available in the PPV 2005 sections.

- Monday 28th March 2005 - A special bonus update for you all today, and it's my first ever TNA Pay-Per-View cover: Destination X 2005. I actually started it about a week before the event, but I got kinda busy with Uni work and other things, so I haven't been able to post it until now. DVD and VHS versions available in the TNA section. I plan to start doing TNA covers from now on, so be sure to keep checking back to the most regularly updated wrestling cover site on the web.

- Monday 21st March 2005 - A complete list of all my wrestling videos and DVDs added to the Collections page.

- Monday 28th February 2005 - My Hasbro & WCW Galoob collections now added to the Collections page.

- Wednesday 23rd February 2005 - Due to the high amount of e-mail flooding my inbox lately, and with WrestleMania 21 right around the corner, I have added a Tag-Board/Shoutbox to the site, which can be found at the bottom of this page (at the end of the "Testimonies to my work" section). So, if you'd prefer, you can now you can leave your testimonies/requests on the site and I can get back to you here directly. Please feel free to e-mail me still if you'd like a more in-depth response; I'm just trying to smooth out the flow. Thank you, and be sure to keep checking back to the most regularly updated wrestling cover site on the web!

- Monday 21st February 2005 - Updated with my No Way Out 2005 cover (DVD & VHS versions available in the PPV 2005 sections). I'm pleased with it, and I'm glad I stuck with the poster theme, as I think it really reflects the mayhem of the main event. Due to the growth in popularity of the site, I am toying with the idea of adding a page of DVD-to-VHS converts for movies, so if you have any requests please e-mail them to me. It's still tentative as to whether I actually go ahead with the idea; it will depend on the amount of requests I get. Until then, be sure to check back regularly, and remember that this is the only place on the net where you can be GUARANTEED to get your PPV covers the day after the events. Thank you.

- Monday 14th February 2005 - Just a quick update to let you know that I have added a new Wrestling Figure Collection page, and added a link to my latest (and extremely sarcastic) website: "Fat Pink Shazzes", which can be found on the Links page. I've also brought back, by popular demand, the section which focusses on the praise of my work from my peers at the WCF Cover Forum. I had taken it down for fear of it seeming a little vain to have it on my own site, but after several requests that it be brought back by members of WCF on MSN, I have heeded their wishes. The section can be found lower down on this page. Thank you.

- Thursday 3rd February 2005 - Another bonus update for you all, and it's VHS versions of my John Cena - Word Life and TNA Impact! covers, for those that wanted them. They are available in the Non-PPV section.

- Wednesday 2nd February 2005 - A bonus update for you all, and it's covers for two pre-2004 events: WrestleMania X-Seven & Backlash 2003. DVD & VHS versions of both are available in the PPV Pre-2004 section.

- Monday 31st January 2005 - Updated with my Royal Rumble 2005 covers (2 versions, both in DVD & VHS). They are available in the PPV 2005 sections now. Also added a page of links to some of my other places on the web.

- Monday 10th January 2005 - Updated with my New Year's Revolution cover in the all-new PPV 2005 sections.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

- Sunday 9th January 2005 - New covers since my last post consist of Royal Rumble 2004, No Way Out 2004, Backlash 2004, Judgment Day 2004, The Great American Bash 2004 (as requested by a couple of WCF members), Vengeance 2004 and Summerslam 2004.  Both DVD and VHS versions of all these events, along with all the other 2004 Pay-Per-View events can be found in the PPV 2004 sections.  I have now made covers for all the 2004 events, which should please those that requested them from me.  A box set of all my covers for 2004 is in the works, as I realise there are now people out there who are collecting my work.  Although I intend to produce box set for collector's of my work from 2005 onwards, it is highly unlikely that I will be going back and making any event from from 2003 or earlier, so those that have asked me too, please don't wait around for them if you come across something by somebody else that you wish to use, though I do thank you all for your loyalty.

On a nice note, my Armageddon 2004 cover came in at an impressive joint-second with Ben over the WCF cover forum, second only to site admin Andy Buckdawg.  I cannot tell you all what a thrill this is, to rate so highly with my first ever Pay-Per-View cover.  Thank you to those that voted for me, and I hope to be producing the same high quality covers that you've come to expect well into 2005 and beyond.  Will a prestigious 'Cover of the Month' be far away? Who knows...
Happy New Year to you all, and now I must continue packing before I go back to University.  Take care, people!

- Friday 31st December 2004 - Updated with my "Bad Blood 2004" cover (DVD and VHS versions in the PPV 2004 section). A box set of all my works is in production and will be available by "WrestleMania 21" (should there be one), as it will commemorate a year of my cover-making.

- Thursday 30th December 2004 - Updated with my "Unforgiven 2004" and "WrestleMania XX" covers (DVD and VHS versions of each available in the PPV 2004 sections).

- Wednesday 29th December 2004 - Updated with my "Taboo Tuesday 2004" cover (DVD and VHS).

- Tuesday 28th December 2004 - Updated with my "Survivor Series 2004" and "No Mercy 2004" covers (both in DVD and VHS format). They are available in the PPV 2004 sections.

- Sunday 12th December 2004 - Updated with my "Armageddon 2004" Cover (DVD and VHS).

My thoughts on cover-making

My covers are presented here in high quality jpeg format using a combination of Microsoft Paint and ACDSee, and Adobe Photoshop purely for image-resizing purposes, and then hosted at ImageShack. While this is admittedly a simple approach to cover-making, it's just the way I work, as I do not want to spend ages making covers which are primarily just used to show me what's on a DVD, especially when I am studying for my degree in French Studies in Manchester and spending time with my girlfriend Rachael. Less time working equals more time watching, and going about life's many other activities. Having said this, a simple formula can often lead to a neater, more concise product, which is what I believe my covers to be, not to mention the fact that I like my covers to be structured in the same way from event to event, so that they may live on a shelf with an aura of a collector's series about them, hence the same dimensions for back cover and spine images on all of my covers. My covers also at least show a better knowledge of Paint than some users of the program out there. Getting the dimensions the same on each cover can occasionally lead to pixelated images, but I can live with this as the alternative would be to lose continuity from cover to cover.

All in all, I am generally quite pleased with how my covers turn out. My main philosophy on this site is not to insult my visitors. By this, I mean that my goal is to always provide good service, which to me is all about not keeping visitors waiting unnecessarily. It has come to my attention that there are certain sites out there that promise covers to be produced by certain deadlines in their site updates sections, yet when it gets to that date they frequently inform their visitors that they have either not made a cover at all, or say, unconvincingly, that it will be up in "another few days". Here at Wrestling Video Covers, you can be sure that if I say I am going to produce a cover by a certain date, then I will. If I say it will be up in approximately two days, then it will. And I will not profess to be making a cover for an event a month before the Pay-Per-View, and then just take somebody else's and forget about my promise.

Unlike a couple of other well-known WWE cover sites out there, I have split my site up into easy-to-navigate sections, rather than one massive drop-down box with no categorization of which covers are for a Pay-Per-View, and which are not, for example. I also ALWAYS provide VHS converts from WWE Pay-Per-Views, even though I no longer use them myself, as I have had many words of appreciation from people who express their gratitude for my taking the time to do this, and I shall continue. The spines for my VHS converts are a tad pixelated, but I don't use them myself; they're just there for anyone who may want a VHS version. I advise to print out VHS covers with CoverXP Free Edition, though not DVD, as for some reason it like to chop part of the left-hand side off. Just print a full page fax print for DVD covers, and it will turn out fine.

You will not get a list of dictatorial rules on this site (like some others out there have), as I realise that I am providing a service, and should any of you require any information about my work or any other aspect of cover-making or wrestling in general, I shall not dictate to you what you can or can't do. You will also not see any bad language within these pages. It's not needed, and it's not intelligent. It's for people with a limited vocabulary.

I also realise, unlike some people, that at the end of the day, the images I use are copyright World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., and I will not insult your intelligence by giving a list of reasons why you can't steal my work. I have the intelligence to realise that, while produced by me, my covers are assembled from several pieces of work by WWE, so the cheek of pretending that I am some form of Messiah to the art of custom covers and that I own the rights to every aspect of them is not my style.

To all the people who have encouraged me to continue and develop, I say thank you for your loyalty. Take care!
