The last time I touched the interior pages of this site for any updating responsibilities, the Republicans were in office. Well it's been forever and-a-day since then and the Republicans are still in the White House, but have now lost the House and Senate to the Democrats.

It's about freakin' time!!!

So that shit hasn't changed a bit. I think a gallon of gas was a bit cheaper than it is now (glad to see it correcting itself in the market finally). I wasn't working the same gig as I am now and was probably giving my free time to DJ'ing whatever gigs I could find. Unfortunately, this relentless 8 months of gigging way more than I'd originally planned burned me out pretty hard. I'm finally starting to really put my chops back together to get out there once in a while.
Speaking of music, Thunderball's long-awaited 3rd full-length LP entitled "Cinescope," finally shipped. I suggest getting yours directly from the source. ESL Music is also having a dope $5.00 sale on all singles. This includes both 12" and 10" singles from all ESL artists. I totally marked-out for "Cinescope" and bought both vinyl and CD versions of this danky swanky release from the over-talented, under-hyped kings of martini-esque downtempo. Can you tell I'm jazzed like a pickle in circle of pregnant women!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I'm also really jazzed that this site's operational again. This past April when the bill came to renew ownership rights to the domain I briefly thought of passing and using the money for booze and hookers, but I decided I liked MJ much better and renewed the domain name. This time though, it's not just anal-retentive-ADD me trying to keep shit from imploding.
SoCalFranchize, real name UPW Josh, has been a major player in getting this fucker off the ground again. He's assmebled a great fucking group of writers- Cory!!, will be contributing to the comic book/graphic novel section. Cory!! also leaves his mark on the 'Net with his site Solitaire Rose. Ms. Alyss, host of Turkey with Sound, will be gracing us with interviews and updates regarding some of SoCal's indy-punk bank scene (did I get that shit right?). Handling the features chore in the pro-wrestling territory is The No-Holds Bard. The site's weekly updates will be made by the lovely Charly-B!
Oh and before I go, a shout out to the St. Louis Cardinals for becoming the MLB2006 World Champions! I wanted to see Detroit vs. New York, since I thought the Cards would get swept away in the storm that is the Tigers' bullpen. Boy, was I fucking wrong- way to go Red Birds!!!
