ABOUT VCW

Valiant Championship Wrestling (VCW) was formed in 2005 by former NOWF and SCW World Champion Excellence, a long-time business associate of NOWF owner Johnny Asterix. VCW is the literal continuation of the NOWF. At NOWF Final Battleground 2001, the final NOWF show, Excellence revealed that as a result of his killing the SCW at Johnny Asterix's request, all assets of the NOWF, including the NOWF Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, all its contracts, and all its titles had been signed over to him. He further explained that he was changing the promotion's name to Valiant Championship Wrestling, and would restart the company when he felt the time was right. Massive renovations have taken place at the newly renamed VCW Arena, and the first show will take place on . While VCW does have its own titles, due to the promotion's past, it also has the right to sanction matches for NOWF titles should it decide to do so, and as a result of a lawsuit dating back to 1997, it can also sanction matches for SCW titles. Thus, VCW is truly a cosmopolitan organization that strives to do justice to the history of this great sport.

Stepping “out of character” for a moment, let me welcome you to the VCW website. VCW is an email-based e-fed, where members can control up to four wrestlers, roleplaying as them for the purposes of promos, and each week, we will have a show known as VCW Meltdown. To join VCW, simply email me at dstevilsca@aol.com or IM me at DsTEviLSCA. Please note that VCW inhabits the same “universe” as the PWF e-fed, located here. Due to this fact, if a wrestler is taken in one or the other federation, he is also considered taken in the other. In the past, I personally have experienced difficulties in trying to run a successful inter-fed rivalry because of overlapping wrestlers, and so Choco Pel of the PWF and I have ironed everything out in a way that will hopefully make things run very smoothly.

Now, a little about myself, for those of you who have either stumbled upon the site or are unfamiliar with my past work. I ran the New Online Wrestling Federation (NOWF) off and on from 1997-2001, as well as the PWA-WWF during the summer of 2000. I competed in e-feds from 1997 through 2001, and was somewhat successful, particularly towards the end of that run. After a long break, I’m back into it and ready to go. Several months of competing in the PWF have rekindled my love for e-feds, and so I’m getting back into the business of running one. Like all those who run e-feds, I have a particular way I like things to go. Bearing that in mind, I offer to you these rules, which should help everything go well.

1. Roleplay. Roleplay early, roleplay often. If you want to win, if you want to be a bigger part of the shows, whatever... it all starts with roleplaying. And remember, quality over quantity.

2. There is a limit of 5 roleplays per wrestler each week, unless both do the max. Then, each can do one more, and so on. There is no upper limit if two people are going back and forth. If you and your opponent can both put out a dozen in a week, then by all means do so. In tag team matches, if one half of the team is slacking, the other member of the team can do extra RPs to pick up his partner's slack. Additionally, during the last 24 hours prior to the deadline, each wrestler can only do one RP.

3. Do not use other member's wrestlers or any VCW officials without express permission. If you feel a need to have another wrestler in your RPs but don't feel comfortable writing their lines, do a joint RP.

4. As far as swearing goes... I expect you to be realistic about it. You know what does and does not get bleeped out on the "real" shows. This is not to say you must always bleep out any offensive language. I've been doing this for a long time. I can tell if you're trying to make a point with the language you use. So while I don't expect any RPs where every other word is an f-bomb, if you feel it serves an important purpose, go for it. For the most part, though, you should bleep out swearing.

5. If at any time you have a problem with me or the way I do things, PLEASE bring it to my attention. Nine times out of ten, we can probably work it out.

6. I write the shows. I make the decisions. This is my fed. However, I am always open to input. If you have a specific angle you want to run, or a feud you really want, you can tell me any time. If you're really passionate about it, you can even write up an interview segment or whatever for the card. I might edit it a little to fit it in, but for the most part you should expect it to run as you sent it to me, minus any formatting differences. Now, don't ask for a dozen segments each week with your wrestlers. Everything in moderation and all that. But, if you've been RPing well and frequently, getting two or three segments, sometimes more, is not at all unreasonable.

7. If you have a problem with another member of the fed, as in, there is some real dislike between the two of you, let me know and if we're unable to sort it out, odds are I will do what I can to keep the two of you apart in matches and such. Sometimes that won't be possible. You might both be contenders for the same title. You might both end up in the EOTR. Whatever. Suck it up and deal with it. If you're mad, let it come across in your RPs.

8. Like everyone else, I have my own personal biases for and against certain wrestlers. I will keep it out of VCW, as I kept it out of the NOWF. Great portrayals of some wrestlers in e-feds in the past have actually made me into a fan of those wrestlers, so don't be afraid to take people just because they're midcarders in WWE, or you think/know I dislike them. Chris Benoit was the first OWF World Champion at a time when he was barely even being used by WCW. Triple H was the top contender to the PWA WWF Championship at a time when I was burning him in effigy probably every day. Bottom line, if you entertain everyone with your RPs, you will do well.

9. You can have a max of four wrestlers in VCW. That's a hard limit, no exceptions. You can have managers, bodyguards, or whatever to go along with them.

10. This fed is run parallel to and in direct competition with the PWF. You can be in one or the other, or both, at any time you choose. Sometimes you might even have a wrestler jump from one to the other. Usually this will take the form of a trade, in other words, if I know someone wants to go the PWF and Choco Pel has someone who wants to come to VCW, both guys will jump. Whether it's a trade or just one guy switching sides, we must BOTH agree to it. In rare instances we may have some wrestlers appear on both shows for interpromotional angles. For the most part, though, we will each focus on our own shows, and so do not expect constant mention of the other fed.

11. Above all else, have fun with it.
