" The End...? "

Is this the end? Is it all over? Has Da Man finally reached the finish line of his career? Many are starting to think so. Many are beginning to talk... talk about how Goldberg in his prime would never be beaten by Raven... talk about how Goldberg has beaten Shawn Michaels in his prime, but last week lost to him. So has the WIW Hall of Famer finally called it quits? Two words... no way. Goldberg is not going to dwell on the past, he’s going to move on to bigger and better things... much better... like the newest WIW superstar, Rob Van Dam. Will Mr. Thursday Night prove that he is definitely a force to be reckoned with here in the WIW? Or will Goldberg crush the dreams of the rookie like he has done so many times in the past? Is this the end of Da Man? Nope... it’s just the beginning...

Scene 1
" Disturbing the Peace "

The scene opens up in a hallway backstage during a WIW house show. It is a few days before Impact where Goldberg will take on Rob Van Dam. Goldberg is seen getting water from a Gatorade cooler. Bill fills the plastic cup full of the fresh, cold water and gulps it down. After the plastic cup is empty, Goldberg crushes it and throws it to the ground. Goldberg bends down and then slams his fist onto the table, obviously frustrated. A small television monitor on the wall catches Goldberg’s eye as Rob Van Dam is seen. Goldberg watches Van Dam’s interview closely. As Rob starts to talk bad at Bill, Goldberg starts to breath heavier. Suddenly, Goldberg picks up the Gatorade cooler and slams it onto the concrete floor, breaking it open. Water splashes out as Goldberg then flips the entire table over. A WIW worker hears the commotion and walks over.

| ‘WIW Worker’ Todd | “What did you do that for?!”

Goldberg looks at the worker, Todd, but does not bother to answer him. He simply stares at Todd, seemling staring a hole right through him. Todd slowly starts to back away, not wanting to aggravate Goldberg any more.

| ‘WIW Worker’ Todd | “”I’m getting security!”

The worker continues to walk backwards, but then he trips on his own feet. Todd stumbles to the ground before jumping back to his feet and sprinting off. Goldberg does not bother trying to stop the worker or to talk him out of getting security. Goldberg turns around and walks towards his locker room. As Goldberg is walking to his room, the Coach is just stepping out of Shane McMahon’s office. Coach looks surprised to see Goldberg.

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Goldberg? Haven’t you retired yet?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Yeah, very funny.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Well, you gotta admit, you’ve been on a major slump lately. Not only did you lose your Intercontinental title to Raven, who’s not even in the WIW anymore, but you lost last week to the Has Been Kid, Shawn Michaels! You better quit while you’re still close behind.”

Suddenly, Goldberg lunges out at Coach, pinning him up against the wall.

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Coach... I’m not in the mood. You want to make wise cracks? Well, then I’ll give you a crack... how about I crack your neck? Trust me, it won’t be funny anymore.”

Goldberg lets go of Coach and steps back as Coach rubs his neck.

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Man, take it easy! I just wanted rile you up for an interview... So how about it?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Fine.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Great. First of all, how do you feel losing to the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Coach, I pride myself on my accomplishments. Up until last Thursday night on Impact, I was beaten before by Shawn Michaels. But in one night, that was all changed. It makes me sick to my stomach that Shawn was able to give me the Sweet Chin Music and keep me down for ten seconds. I can sit here and tell you that it won’t happen again... but we’ll just have to see if it does happen again.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Moving on to your opponent on Impact, Rob Van Dam. What are your thoughts on him?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Rob Van Dam... Rob is basically a rookie. Yeah, I know his history with ECW and all that... but I’m going to tell Rob something he doesn’t know... the WIW is not the ECW... it’s not the WWE or the WCW. I had quite a history with WCW, but when I came to the WIW, I started at the bottom of the ladder, just like I did in WCW. The WIW is much more intense than any other wrestling organization, that’s for sure. Rob, my point is... here in the WIW, you are nothing but a rookie. I have seen it all, Rob... I have done it all. You have no idea... no idea whatsoever about what you are in store for. But don’t worry... you’ll find out soon enough.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Well, in an interview the other day, Rob said that he has respect for you and your accomplishments here in the WIW... but come Thursday, he will give you nothing but a Five Star Frog Splash! What do you think about this?”

After hearing this, Goldberg smirks slightly.

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Rob, Rob, Rob... you should know as well as anybody that in order to hit me with the Five Star Frog Splash, you need to get me down... which won’t happen. Rob, I’m sure it’s very hard to land a Five Star Frog Splash when you’re lying face down on the mat after just experiencing the Spear. While you cannot focus on anything but the pain, I will pick up your lifeless carcass and deliver an excruciating Jackhammer and then... then there will be nothing left to do but to pin you for the one... two... and the three.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Like so many of your opponents in the past have said, Rob has declared that you, not him, is the one who is next.”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Heh, heh. That’s funny, Rob... real funny. You know, Rob, that pretty much all of my opponents have told me that. But in the end, they are the ones who find out what being next really feels like. Rob, you can tell me I’m next all you want... but it won’t help one bit.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Rob also brought up your record several times... mainly all of your losses. What do you have to say to him regarding your losses?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Well, I admit... I do have more losses than I would like. Now, a guy, like Rob Van Dam for instance, can look at my record and notice all of my losses. But a smart guy would see that pretty much everybody I have lost to, not including Shane Douglas, I have beaten them before. A smart guy would not see the twenty-three individuals that got lucky enough to beat me, but instead would see the forty-one unfortunate superstars that became next. And soon, RVD, you will be joining those forty-one other people that I have beaten. You don’t believe me? Well, maybe it’s time you do believe, Rob... BELIEVE THE HYPE!”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Rob has also said that he truly hopes that he gains your respect after he beats you. In the case that he does beat you, will he gain your respect?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “If... somehow... someway... RVD gets lucky and is able to beat me, then he will have my respect. If Rob Van Dam can pin me without help, then he will have my utter most respect. But, quite frankly, I don’t see that happening. It really is nothing personal, Rob, but I am mad... and when I’m mad, I am focused... and I am ready. When you’re my opponent and you look across the ring to the other corner and you see me, you better hope that I am in a good mood... ‘cause if I am not... you are going to wish you were dead. Rob, for you... this is exactly what will happen.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Even Rob’s brother thinks that Rob will be able to defeat you come Thursday night on Impact.”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “RVD’s brother?! Do I care what RVD’s brother thinks? No, I don’t. Rob’s brother, Greg, might think that Mr. Thursday Night will beat me... but nobody else does. I hope that Greg has tickets to the event Thursday night, ‘cause I would love for Greg to see first-hand what I do to his brother, Rob Van Dam. I must warn you, Greg, it’s not going to be pretty.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Any last words for Rob Van Dam?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Yeah, I have one last thing to say to Mr. RVD. Rob, you might think that you will be able to beat me, just like you beat Eddie Guerrero last week. But let me tell you, I am not Eddie Guerrero. I have also beaten Eddie in the past just as easily as you did. You beating Eddie does not impress me one bit. If you want to impress me, then beat me... or try to at least. ‘Cause the fact is that I will not let you walk out as the victor, Rob. Don’t you get it, yet? Don’t you understand what I’ve been saying? What I am saying is... dude, YOU’RE NEXT!!!”

Goldberg turns to walk away as five cops stand in his way. Goldberg tries to push past them, but they quickly surround him.

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Is there a problem, officer?”

| ‘Police Officer’ Dan | “There’s been a complaint about a disturbance... and about you threatening others. One witness even claimed that you put your hands around somebody’s throat and threw them against the wall. With that said, I am putting you under arrest for disturbing the peace... and assault and battery.”

Goldberg seems to get even more pissed off as he just stares down the police officer.

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Officer, what you have said is all correct. Er... what about his match this Thursday on Impact?”

| ‘Police Officer’ Dan | “I’m sure Mr. Goldberg can come up with enough money to bail himself out by Thursday.”

Coach smirks as one of the police officers puts Goldberg’s hands behind his back and then handcuffs them together. They then bring Goldberg to the police car. Officer Dan opens up the back door and pushes Goldberg into the back seat. He then gets into the driver seat and starts up the car. He drives off as the scene slowly fades to black...

Scene 2
" A Surprise Jail Mate "

The scene opens back up in the police headquarters where Goldberg has been taken. The policemen lead Goldberg down a hallway, passing numerous jail cells containing several filthy criminals. Officer Dan brings Goldberg to a dark cell and opens up the cell door. Goldberg steps in as the door slams shut behind him. Sitting on a bench against the wall is a strong, bald man. Goldberg walks over and sits next to the guy. The guy slowly raises his head and is revealed to be none other than Nathan Jones. Nathan looks at Goldberg as Goldberg looks at Nathan. There is a slight smile in Nathan’s face as Goldberg starts to talk...

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “So... how was your week?”

Nathan laughs as the scene slowly fades out to black...
