" Back on the Losing Track? "
Last Thursday night, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Goldberg were defeated by Batista and Randy Orton. That’s over... but this week, Goldberg and Batista face off in another tag team match. But this time it’s a forced tag team match. None other than the Game, Triple H, will be Batista’s partner as Goldberg looks into the dark gloomy night for his partner, the Undertaker. Will Goldberg and Undertaker work together long enough to defeat Triple H and Batista? Or will Goldberg and Undertaker’s real opponents be each other?
Scene 1
" When Will Batista Learn?! "
The scene opens up in Goldberg’s locker room at a house show. Goldberg is seen pacing back and forth across the room, with something obviously on his mind. It is evident that Bill is deep in thought.
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Well, well, well. Last week, Batista, for the first time, finally beat me. But let’s not forget Batista, you have yet to beat me one-on-one. But yet, you still are focusing on Da Man. Why is that, Batista? Are you jealous over the fact that I am the best here in the WiW? That I am a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion? That my Intercontinental Championship is way above your little Television one? Or maybe... just maybe... you are mad because I defeated you in your debut match here in the WiW. Could that be it, Batista? ‘Cause I am starting to think so. I know that you wake up each and every single morning knowing that at Heat Wave... and that makes you sick. It makes you sick to your stomach until the point where you feel that puke creeping up into your throat. But no matter what you do, Batista, you can never change that fact that the most promising superstar fell short in his very first match.”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “But let’s not dwell on the past. Let’s think about the future. The future as in... oh let’s say... Impact. ‘Cause once again I am facing Batista in a tag team match. But this time, neither one of us have comfort in our corners... not that Stone Cold was much comfort at all. But my partner this week, the Undertaker, is just crazy. I have not spoken with the Undertaker this week. Hell, I’ve never spoken with the Undertaker. But come Thursday night, he better know his place. And his place is to take out Triple H while I take out Batista. Now, Undertaker, I don’t know where you’ve been lately... probably in some graveyard... but quite frankly, I don’t care. I just want you to show up this Thursday night with one goal in your mind... winning our match. I lost a match last week, Taker, and I’m not planning on losing again. Now, you can either listen to my advice... or you can choose the other option. And that option would be that if you cost me the match in any way, shape, or form... your ass will be next.”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “But as far as Triple H goes, I have no idea what he’s thinking heading into this match. We used to be best friends and if he actually helps Batista, then that will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Hunter, if you are truly as smart as people say, then you will make a point to stay out of my way in this match. I have no business with you... just with Batista.”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “So this goes to Batista... the so called Demon in Disguise. You want to sit there and talk and talk and talk about how you will beat me? Then do it! Don’t sit around and whine about it... just do it. But make no mistake about it, I will be coming at you will full force. So I hope you’re ready... ready to be NEXT!!!”
