Once again Goldberg has proven his ability to dominate all other wrestlers. And the Demon is Disguise, Batista, was no different. Goldberg walked into the steel cage against one of the biggest challenges to date, and he walked out a winner. But the past is the past... for a bigger force begs for recognition. The five hundred pound, seven-foot tall, Big Show has now set his targets on Da Man. Does Da Man have what it takes to defeat two giants in a row? Or will he suffer the same fate as Batista? There’s only one way to find out... this Monday night on Xplosion!
Scene 1
" A Champion Once Again "
The scene opens up in a locker room at a house show in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is not yet known exactly who the locker room belongs to. The camera focuses on a picture hanging up on the wall. The picture shows none other than the Demon in Disguise, Batista.
The camera then zooms out to show Da Man, Goldberg, staring at the picture with a slight smirk on his face.
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Here you see the man that thought he was unstoppable... the man who thought he was designed by the devil himself... the man who thought he could beat me. But that wasn’t the case... ‘cause just like I promised I would do, I defeated Batista at Heat Wave. I humiliated and embarrassed the man who was hailed to be the best the WiW has ever seen. I showed the world that the only hype that should be believed... is mine. Batista, you witnessed first hand that Da Man is just as powerful as ever. You claimed to be the best that the WiW has ever seen... but sadly, your claim was just denied. Batista, at Heat Wave, I proved that no matter what you do, you will only be second best.”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “And last Thursday on Impact, I proved that statement correct once again when I not only kicked your Ric Flair’s ass, but I kicked yours as well. And if it were not for that cheap son of a bitch, Orton, I would have kicked it even more. But it all turned out good in the end... ‘cause now next week on Impact, I have not only Batista, but I have Orton’s ass in that ring as well... not to mention in a No DQ tag team match! So boys, you want to claim that you’re the best? Well, to take a line from a wannabe-legend, to be the best... you gotta beat the best!”
Just then a knock is heard at the door. A second knock breaks Goldberg’s trance as starts to walk towards the doorway. Goldberg slowly opens the door as Jim Ross is revealed as the knocker.
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Yeah... what?”
| ‘Good Old JR’ Jim Ross | “’S’cuse me, Goldberg? I was just hoping to get your response to your main event match this Monday night on Xplosion...”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Main event match?!”
| ‘Good Old JR’ Jim Ross | “You haven’t heard? You have been booked in a match with the Big Show... and it is for the Intercontinental Championship!”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Is that so? It looks like Da Man will be champion once again. Well, give me a few minutes and I’ll give you your interview.”
Goldberg closes the door as the scene slowly fades...
