Scene 1 ~ Meeting a Living Legend

The scene opens up in Stamford, Connecticut, the home of the WWE Headquarters. However, the scene starts off in the parking lot, where a car has just pulled up. The engine clicks off as the door opens, revealing Goldberg as the driver. He pops the trunk and grabs his bags out. Goldberg heads towards the building as several wrestlers walk by. Goldberg, completely ignoring them, keeps walking. He opens the front doors and walks up to the secretary's desk...

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “Hello, Mr. Goldberg. What can I do for you today?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Actually I am here to see...”

Claudia’s phone rings.... | ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “I’m terribly sorry, but I must answer that. I am expecting an important phone call.”

Goldberg takes a step back as the secretary answers her phone.

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “Yes, Mr. McMahon.... I understand... I’ll tell him that...

Goldberg walks back to the lobby and takes a seat on the leather couch. He grabs the newest WWE magazine, featuring four of the Royal Rumble participants on the cover, including himself, with a large title that reads ‘WWE ROYAL RUMBLE: WHO WILL WIN?’.

Goldberg opens it up and thumbs to the section on the Royal Rumble. Goldberg is reading an article about Shane Douglas when a voice is heard from someone standing in front of him...

| Unknown | “Relaxing after the beating I gave you, eh?”

Goldberg slowly lowers the magazine, not surprised to see the self proclaimed ‘King of the World’, Chris Jericho, standing over him.

| ‘Living Legend’ Chris Jericho | “Speechless? Well, you certainly will be this Sunday when I defeat John Cena for the Intercontinental title AND then defeat you and win a shot at the World Heavyweight title! Find that hard to believe? Me beating you? Well, it certainly wasn‘t a surprise when I kicked your ass on RAW, was it?”

Goldberg stares at Jericho, not saying a word.

| ‘Living Legend’ Chris Jericho | “You see, Goldberg, you are nothing. You have always been nothing. You honestly think you can win the Rumble? Even if you could, everyone knows what a big threat you are. You have a huge target on your chest. So what I am saying is no matter what, I will walk out this Sunday as the 2004 Royal Rumble winner. And after I win the Rumble and then go on and win the World Title at Wrestlemania... you will NEVER eeeeeever see another title shot again! See you at the Rumble, Goldy!”

Jericho smirks and struts off as Goldberg raises the magazine back up, completely ignoring him. Goldberg flips to the Shane Douglas section and reads the intro out loud...

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Shane Douglas may seem like the cockiest man alive. But he has done plenty to back up his self-esteem. Many have said that he has the most power in the WWE... even more than Shane O’ Mac, himself. Douglas is not only the undefeated World Heavyweight Champion, but he also has allied himself with Shane McMahon. Behind every promo is a man who knows what he is going up against. ‘The Franchise’ has defeated the likes of many WWE superstars, including Goldberg.”

Goldberg stops reading, commenting on the article.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah... they just had to add that part in...”

Goldberg continues to read the article.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Now, Shane Douglas faces what may be his toughest opponent yet. The only man who is stopping Douglas from ‘franchising’ Wrestlemania XX is the Undertaker. Undertaker has vowed to beat Douglas and take his World Heavyweight title. However, Douglas is not worried. Recently we caught up with ‘The Franchise’ during his busy schedule and managed to get an exclusive interview...

The secretary finishes with her phone call...

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “Ok, Mr. Goldberg...”

Goldberg sets the magazine back on the coffee table and walks back over to the secretary’s desk.

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “So what can I do for you?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “I’m here to talk to Shane Mc...

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “I regret to inform you that Shane McMahon is extremely busy with the Royal Rumble being in a few days. He has notified me not to let anyone bother him today...”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Actually, I would rather go into the weight room. I have to get ready for the Rumble...”

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “OK... go right on ahead...”

Goldberg leaves the desk and heads towards the elevator. As he walks away he mutters to himself...

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Busy, my ass!”

Goldberg walks into an open elevator and hesitates about which level floor. He presses the top floor, Shane McMahon’s office...

Scene 2 ~ Extremely Busy...

The elevator doors open as Goldberg walks out. Goldberg walks up to Shane McMahon’s office door as a security guard walks up...

| ‘Head of Security’ James | “You are not allowed to go any further beyond this point. Mr. McMahon is very busy and he does not wish to see you.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Are you sure? ‘Cause I just got a call from Shane, telling me to see him as soon as possible...”

| ‘Head of Security’ James | “Sir, please turn around and go back in the elevator...”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Fine... but when McMahon asks you where I am, you can be sure to tell him that you made me leave...”

| ‘Head of Security’ James | “Mr. McMahon really wishes to see you?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah... so are you going to let me in or what?”

| ‘Head of Security’ James | “Fine...”

The security guard steps aside as Goldberg opens the door. He slams it shut and mutters...

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Damn, these security guards are dumb!”

Goldberg walks in and finds Shane McMahon lounging back in his computer chair, feet up on his desk and hands behind his head. Shane jumps, startled to see Goldberg walk in.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Extremely busy, eh?”

Shane quickly grabs his phone and begins to dial a number when Goldberg rips the phone out of Shane’s hand. Goldberg slams the phone down and stares at Shane, a slight smirk on his face.

| `WWE Owner' Shane O’ Mac | “OK... So you got in... What the hell do you want?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “First of all, it was a good plan to call Claudia, your secretary, and tell her not to let me in. But it didn’t work did it?”

| `WWE Owner' Shane O’ Mac | “...”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “You know, Shane, I haven’t really talked to you one-on-one since you screwed me out of the World Heavyweight Title... How have you been, boss?”

Shane does not answer, just continues to stare down Goldberg.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “I just wanted to let you know that your days of screwing me are over! Shane, ever since Armageddon, the night in which I lost to Shane Douglas for the final time, I have not gotten near that World Title... which is just the way you like it. As long as the World Heavyweight Title is on your side, you could care less who has it. Which is exactly why it will be the Undertaker, a Corporate Alliance member, going one-on-one with Shane Douglas, another Corporate Alliance member. You see, Shane, this has been your plan all along. You know nobody wants to see two men from the same stable fighting, but it was the only way to keep the title in your hands. Well, I got news for ya! This Sunday, I’m going to win the Royal Rumble and I will face your World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania! And there is no way you can screw me this time!”

Goldberg casually leans forward on Shane’s desk.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “So who will I be facing at Wrestlemania XX? You probably already have the whole Rumble main event all planned out. I bet you will be giving it to ‘Taker... after all, he is undefeated at Wrestlemania... but can you really trust Undertaker? Nope... So, Shane Douglas might be walking out of the Royal Rumble as the World Heavyweight Champion. Goldberg VS Douglas Part 6... or whatever. But this time, it’s going to be a whole lot different. This time... Shane will not be walking out the champ. I will be!”

| `WWE Owner' Shane O’ Mac | “Even if you did happen to win the Rumble and Shane Douglas did happen to win at the World title, what makes you so confident you can finally beat him? Shane Douglas is the best this business has seen in a long time!”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “What makes me so confident? Well, you see, Shane... the Royal Rumble is unpredictable... I have no clue what will go down... WAIT! Actually, I do know what will go down. You can be damn sure that I will kick everybody’s ass and throw there carcasses over the top rope. I could care less who is in that match. Whether I take on Rocky or Kane or Jericho... it just doesn’t matter. My hatred for you and your boy, Douglas, have made me even more powerful. I will win that Rumble, Shane, and there ain’t a damn thing you can do about it!”

Goldberg stands up and smirks.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Oh, I just thought of one final way you could screw me! You probably are going to make me the first entrant in the Rumble, right?”

| `WWE Owner' Shane O’ Mac | “...”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “It’s ok, Shane. I will still walk out of it as the Rumble winner. I hope you will be watching as I throw that last guy over the top rope and I am declared the winner...”

| `WWE Owner' Shane O’ Mac | “You made your point... Now get the hell out of my office! SECURITY!!!”

Goldberg turns around and walks towards the door as it bursts open. Four security guards escort Goldberg out of the office and into the elevator...

Scene 3 ~ Checking Out the Competition...

The scene opens still at the WWE Headquarters. It turns out that the security guards told Goldberg to leave the building. However, Goldberg did not cooperate and instead went to the weight room, which is where we find him now...

Goldberg is seen sitting in the lockerroom. Goldberg seems to be thinking about something. He looks up, noticing the camera...

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “I suppose you want me to talk some more about the Rumble, huh?”

The cameraman gives a slight nod.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Well... plain and simple, I will win the Rumble this Sunday. I have been hearing everybody cut promos and they have to mention me. You see, I am one, if not the biggest, threat in this match. Well, then again, maybe I’m not. I heard Brock Lesnar earlier and I agree with what he said. We will be targeted. So what? Let them target me. Cause in order to get eliminate me, all 29 men are going to have to take me out... and I don’t think they can.”

Goldberg stands up, however he continues talking...

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “I have to admit that there are many good superstars in this match... but being ‘good’ doesn’t win Royal Rumbles. So while everyone tries to convince people that they will win, the people know the truth. There’s only one person that will go to Wrestlemania XX with a World Title shot and that person is me! None of the other wrestlers will bring the combination of strength and intensity that I will.”

Goldberg paces back and forth.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “I have a huge opportunity this Sunday... and I sure as hell will not waste it. Nobody knows how much it hurts me to not have that World Title around my waist. Well, this is my chance to get my rematch for it. And I plan on getting that rematch at the biggest spectacular in wrestling... at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden... I plan on getting it at Wrestlemania XX!”

A young OVW wrestler walks in.

| `New Talent’ Brian | “Hey, Goldberg. Good luck at the Royal Rumble... there are a lot of tough competitors in it...”

Brian grabs his gym bag and walks out as Goldberg looks at the camera.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “A lot of tough opponents? Let’s see... first there is Kane. Kane, I eliminated your ass on RAW... just like I will this Sunday. I told you that I don’t fear you. You walk around saying that you will tear me to pieces because I beat you. Well, let’s see you try. What makes you think that this Sunday will be any different than RAW? Cause it won’t be. Kane, I realize that you are 7 feet tall... but that doesn’t mean anything. I realize that people call you a monster... well, that doesn’t mean anything either. You are probably sorry that you didn’t beat me up on RAW... I just hope that you aren’t eliminated before I get out there... cause then you will truly be sorry.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Who else is in the Rumble?”

Goldberg looks around and sees the Royal Rumble card posted on the wall. Goldberg quickly reads through it and turns back towards the camera.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Ahhhh... so The Rock will be entering? Well, Rocky, you think you can win? You have won in the past... what’s stopping you from winning this Sunday? I’ll tell you what’s stopping you... I AM! Rocky, you blew your chance to have a shot at the title... Yeah, Rock, that’s what people tell me.... that I blew my chance, too. Rock, right now, we are in the same boat. At Armageddon, I was screwed out of the World title by Shane McMahon... and well, last Monday Night, you were also screwed out of it, but it was by Shane Douglas! So I know that Rock will be at his best, trying to get some payback, well, Rock... I want payback, too... You’re just going to have to wait your turn!”

Goldberg glances back at the card and turns back.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Chris Jericho... I haven’t seen him around lately... but when I last saw him... he was standing victorious. Jericho, you beat me through luck. You know it, and I know it. Pick any other night and I would have manhandled you... pick any night, like the Rumble for instance. This Sunday, I will make an effort to go out of my way just to eliminate you. You pissed me off, Jericho... and when someone pisses me off, they find out the hard way what it feels like to piss off Goldberg. I’m not mad that I lost my Intercontinental title shot... what I am mad at is that I was forced to add another loss to my record. So, Jericho, although all 29 men are, I am specifically declaring you NEXT!”

Goldberg grabs his gym bags and heads out of the locker room as the camera fades...
