Revenge... that's what it's all about. You can't make up for the past... what's done is done. Now all you can do is move on. You lay awake at night, thinking about how you can exact revenge... how you can pay the individual back for the pain and suffering... for the defeat. But you know that no matter how much you hurt him, it doesn't change the past. The past is a gaping hole. You can try to run from it, but the more you run, the deeper, more terrible it grows behind you, its edges yawning at your heels. Your only chance is to turn around and face it...

Last week, Sean O’Haire found out first hand what revenge feels like. Soon, John Cena will have that same feeling...

SCENE 1

The scene opens up as RAW comes back from a break. The cameras immediately go backstage to Goldberg’s locker room. He is seen, sitting on a bench. Goldberg puts on his knee pads while he cuts a promo.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “So... we are just minutes away from my match. The match in which all four superstars think they have what it takes to win. The match that will decide who will kick John Cena’s ass this Sunday at the Royal Rumble. You see, there’s no doubt about it... whoever wins tonight, WILL kick Cena’s ass and take his Intercontinental Title. But who will that individual be?”

Goldberg looks up as he gets his right knee pad on. He reaches into his gym bag and pulls out his left one. He continues talking as he puts it on.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Will it be the 7 foot tall, 326 pound, Big Red Machine? Kane says that he will make the biggest impact here in the WWE. Yeah, maybe in his sick mind, he might. But in reality, scary looks don’t win matches. Brute strength wins the matches. Kane thinks that he is big and bad because he won like one match? I don’t even know how the hell he got into this match. But it really doesn’t matter. Kane claims that he will not stop at anything to win this match... well, neither will I. I have fought Kane in the past and I must admit, he is a tremendous competitor. But I could beat him then and I can beat him now.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Kane, you are probably my toughest opponent tonight. I have no doubt that you can eliminate two people. But those two people you will eliminate are Jericho and Christian. You see, Kane, I am the Man. I don’t just call myself that. The people call me that. Do you want to know what the people call you? I have heard a lot of them calling you the Big Red... Machine? No, the Big Red FREAK! Kane, don’t play with fire... you might get burned... again. Or in this case... YOU MIGHT BE NEXT!!!”

Goldberg finishes putting on his left knee pad. He now puts on both elbow pads and then grabs his boots. He puts on his right and begins to lace it up.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Or maybe it will be the King of Bling Bling that will get the pin thanks to Team Bring It. Jericho, I have heard what you have been saying about me... and I don’t like it. You talk about how I wasn’t going to show up tonight? Well, it looks like I’m here, doesn’t it? Then Jericho, you talk about my past losses. First of all, about 10 times already you have said that I can’t even beat Shane Douglas... well, it’s not like he’s the best in the WWE or anything. (sarcasm) After all, Douglas does happen to be the current World Heavyweight Champion. Then you bring up that I lost to Sean O’Haire. Yeah, I did. But if you watched SMACKDOWN!, you would have seen me decimate O’Haire! So, Jericho, it’s time to put up... or shut up! I’m real sick of you talking shit about, not just me, but Kane and Christian as well. Jericho walks around the backstage, talking to all the superstars... and it’s obvious that he’s not ready. Before a big match like this, you need to sit here and think about it. You have to focus on what you will do. You need to get yourself ready. Well, Jericho, you’re getting yourself ready... READY TO BE NEXT!!!”

Goldberg gets his boots on and stands up, looking into the camera.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Maybe the most unexpected wrestler to win will win! You know who I am talking about, Christian! Christian, you’re the one who should be training and focusing for this match the most. You got a lot to prove tonight. If you lose, then it will be three losses in a row for you. That has to be some kind of WWE record. But Christian, you have intelligence... something that Kane lacks. You know how to get the win... it’s just a matter of doing it. Christian, you have always been that sneaky guy... you remind me a lot of Shane Douglas. You are willing to do whatever you can to win... even if that means cheating. But if you have to cheat to get the win tonight... by all means, go ahead and do it. This could be a huge night for you, Christian. Or it could just be another humiliating loss... it’s up to you.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “So there you have it.... who will win this match? Who has what it takes to last without being eliminated? To tell you the truth, I have no idea. We will certainly find out tonight. So, Christian... Chris Jericho... Kane... bring all you’ve got. ‘Cause I will be bringing all I got. Oh, and one more thing... you know about all that hype you have been hearing about? Well, it’s time you believe it! And that spear that you have heard about. You heard that it fells like you’ve been in a train wreck? Well, FEAR THE SPEAR! And your number, it’s up! What does that mean? It means simply... YOU’RE NEXT!!!”

Goldberg walks away as the camera sees a piece of paper hanging on the wall. The camera zooms in... and it reads...
