Forward ~ NO WAY OUT
The final Pay-Per-View before Wrestlemania XX is here. The night where you have to prove yourself one last time before the greatest spectacular. Rivalries strengthen... Blood boils... Heat rises... This time, there will be no escaping... this time you will be forced to face your fears... this time there is NO...WAY... OUT!!!
Scene 1 ~ Never Fear... Coach is Here!
The scene opens at the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The camera pans around the weight room, showing many wrestlers benching. Practically every WWE superstar is in there, except for one individual... Kane. Goldberg is seen benching when Jonathon Coachman walks up. Goldberg, noticing Coach, slams the bar back on the rack. Bill sits up and wipes the sweat off his forehead as Coach begins to speak...
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “That was some pretty lame ass stuff you pulled earlier. I have always interviewed you since you have came to the WWE and now... now Josh Matthews has replaced me?!”
Goldberg stares at Coach as he stands to his feet. Goldberg slowly walks forward as Coach stumbles back. Coach trips on his own feet, landing on his butt.
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah... do you have a problem with that?”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Nnnnn....”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “I said do you have a problem with that?”
Coach gets back up, seemingly regaining his confidence back.
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “The only reason you have had decent promos in the past is because I interviewed you!”
Goldberg smirks...
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “If you really, truly want to win your match at No Way Out... you will need to have an exclusive interview with Da Coach!”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Listen, Coach. I am a little busy right now. I’m getting ready for this Sunday...”
Coach starts to turn away...
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Fine... then I guess you don’t want to hear what Kane had to say when I interviewed him the other day...”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Fine. I’ll answer a few of your questions... but please, make it quick.”
Coach turns back around, a big smile upon his face.
Scene 2 ~ Pissing on the Ashes...
This scene opens up in one of the locker rooms of the weight room. Here we find Goldberg, sitting on a wooden bench, with Coach standing next to him. Coach appears to be in a better mood...
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “So... first of all, Goldberg, Kane said that you can run your mouth off all you want but it won’t help you when you face him one-on-one. Your response?”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Well, Kane is right. What I say now won’t affect him come Sunday... but nonetheless, he is still watching this some where... listening to every word I speak. My intentions are to get some kind of advantage by sitting here talking to you, Coach. My intentions are to get ready for my match. To psyche myself up for this huge opportunity.”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Kane has also said that after he is done with you, the fans will have no reason to chant GOLDBERG, GOLDBERG.”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “The fans don’t need a reason to chant Goldberg. They wouldn’t need a reason if they didn’t chant it either. The fans chant my name because they want to. They chant my name because they have respect for me and for what I do. And like I said earlier, I feed off that energy. The electricity starts to flow through my veins and I get pumped. Then I crouch down and nail you with a devastating spear. That’s just the way it has to be...”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Kane is not convinced that your actions are anything above normal. Quite frankly, I’m not convinced either... but that’s a different story.”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “You know, Kane is a funny guy. He says that my actions are nothing special and yet, I have done a hell of a lot more than he has. Kane talks about how his actions scar them for life... Kane, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but it’s not your actions that scar your opponents for life... it’s your face.”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Kane has told me never to mention the words ‘Goldberg’ and ‘good wrestler’ in the same sentence... opps, I guess I just did... anyway, what are your feelings about that statement?”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Kane has a lot to learn about the WWE. Kane has got to learn to give wrestlers their credit when credit is due. Kane has referred to me as a little boy who thinks I can make it in this business. News Flash... I already have made it in this business... and I’m not a little boy... I’m Da Man! At No Way Out, Kane will find out that Da Man is not just a nickname...”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Kane has said that nobody, especially not you, Goldberg, will stand in his way to winning the World Heavyweight title...”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Heh... well, Kane, I already have stood in your way. A month ago, at the Royal Rumble, I eliminated you to win, which sends me to Wrestlemania and guarantees me a title shot... not you. So, I don’t know who you are trying to kid... but no one is falling for it. Kane, you talk about how you always train while I get interviewed... yeah right! Every time I see Kane he is in some kind of dark room crying about his childhood. If that’s training then I am no match for Kane!”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Kane has finally admitted that you beat him twice, but he has said that you have not done one thing. You have not gone face to face with your biggest fear, Kane himself.”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah, I did beat him twice and I am glad he realized that. But what’s done is done. Kane, you are not my biggest fear... because I don’t fear anybody or anything. But you’re right, I have yet to come face to face with you... not yet at least. This Sunday will be different. This Sunday we will find out if you can back up all the shit you have been talking this past week. ‘Cause, quite frankly, I don’t think you have what it takes to be the best here in the WWE. You always come so close... but there is always someone there to kick you back down. You make excuses up... your mask was hiding the real you... the fans don’t accept you... you got picked on when you are little... but none of these excuses have a damn thing to do with the fact that you are always second best.”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Second best? And first being...?”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “First being me. I don’t mean to sound cocky... but I will always be one step ahead of Kane. Kane himself even said so. He has said that he comes so close to glory and then he makes a costly mistake... he chokes... he losses. But this Sunday, Kane has vowed that no mistakes will be made. He has promised that he will break my back with a chokeslam and then give me a Tombstone Piledriver.”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Day in and day out, Kane has mentioned all the destruction he has caused so far... how does this compare with the destruction you feel that you have caused?”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Well, Kane has caused some destruction while here in the WWE. After all, he is the WWE Television Champion... however, Kane has yet to defend that title. How does anybody know that he is a true champion? We don’t... he might have gotten lucky one time and won that title... and his first title defense... he loses. And who is he defending his title against?”
A young WWE superstar, probably on Velocity, walks in...
| `Future WWE Talent' Jake | “Who is Kane defending his title against? GOLDBERG! GOLDBERG! GOLDBERG!”
Coach walks over to Jake and asks him a few questions.
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Excuse me there... Jake, right?”
| `Future WWE Talent' Jake | “Yeah! Jake Allen! I am the future of this business!”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | (muttering) “Yeah, that’s what they all say...”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “So Jake, you obviously like Goldberg. Do you think he has what it takes to bring down the Big Red Machine?”
| `Future WWE Talent' Jake | “Definitely dude! Goldberg will stomp out Kane’s fire and then piss on the ashes!”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “OK... thanks, Jack.”
| `Future WWE Talent' Jake | “Uh... it’s Jake.”
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Yeah... whatever. Hit the gym!”
Jake grabs his towel and walks off as Coach walks back over to Goldberg.
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Well, it looks as if one person believes in you. So anything else you would like to say?”
| `Da Man' Goldberg | “I just want to say that... although I have said I would come away with the victory... it will not be easy. I expect to come out of that match with a hell of a lot more than just cuts and bruises. The only way a rivalry as big as this one can end is in a huge and explosive way... someone is bound to get hurt. Kane, get ready for the match of your life. I will push you to your limit and then I will keep pushing. Kane, the time is approaching ever so near. Soon, there will be no more attacking from behind... there will be no more excuses... there will be no more ways to escape Da Man! There will be NO WAY OUT!”
Goldberg gets up and walks out as Coach turns back towards the camera.
| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “This has been Da Coach... reporting here from the WWE Headquarters... Peace out!”
Coach also walks out as the camera fades to black.
