The road to Wrestlemania has begun... the main event is set and will feature the best of the best. Two forces will collide for the most prized possession... Scene 1 ~ A Lesson in Thuganomics...

The scene opens up at the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, a now familiar place to see WWE superstars. Among these superstars is Bill Goldberg, who has been called here for an interview on Wrestlemania XX for the latest WWE magazine. We find Goldberg as he just arrives...

Goldberg pulls up in his car and slams his door shut. He does not appear to be in a very good mood. He walks into the building and heads to the front desk. The secretary looks up, surprised to see Goldberg.

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “Hello, Bill. Do you need something?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Actually I am scheduled for an interview for the upcoming March issue of the WWE magazine.”

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “Oh? Let me check up on that...”

Claudia picks up the phone and dials a number as Goldberg takes a step back, waiting. After a few minutes, Claudia hangs up the phone.

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “You should have been notified... Mr. McMahon has decided to cancel your interview.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Cancelled my interview? And why is that?”

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “It appears Mr. McMahon has found a better topic for the next WWE magazine.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “A better topic than the main event at Wrestlemania XX?!”

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “It appears so...”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Well, what’s the topic about?”

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “I’m not sure if I should be the one to tell you this...”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Just tell me!”

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “Fine... wait... better yet, I’ll show you.”

The secretary bends down and pulls out the newest WWE magazine. Goldberg grabs it out of her hand and looks at it.

On the cover is a large symbol in flames. The words HE’S BACK are in big, bold letters. The date 2.12.04, the night the Undertaker returned, is also on the cover. It’s obvious that the subject that has took Goldberg’s interview was the return of the phenom. Goldberg flips through a couple pages before throwing the magazine on the desk.

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “The Undertaker leaves, attacks a couple of people with the lights out, and then he gets the front page?!”

| ‘WWE Secretary’ Claudia | “Mr. McMahon is a fair man. Whatever a superstar earns, they get...”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah, sure.”

Goldberg turns and heads toward the front doors as a familiar voice rings after him...

| Unknown | “Yo, Goldy!”

Goldberg turns around and sees John Cena behind him. Goldberg starts to walk towards him with a pissed off expression.

| `Doctor of Thuganomics' John Cena | “Chill, chill, chill!”

Goldberg stops, waiting to hear what Cena has to say.

| `Doctor of Thuganomics' John Cena |

“Goldberg, talking to you, is like talking to cavemen..

I'd be better of drawin' little sticks in the sand!

You're soft Goldy, you Ben Gay, like ointment...

Yeah, you wanna hold the title.. you can be da world's biggest disappointment!

With a knife and a dictionary.. you still couldn't cut a promo right..

I beat you twice, don’ t you forget it...

You fight me again, you’ll end up in shhhh....

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Cena, what do you want? I’m not in the mood for your little raps...”

| `Doctor of Thuganomics' John Cena | “Like I said last week on RAW, I know it was you who attacked me. You were jealous that I beat your ass twice!”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “If you don’t get out of my face, I will beat your ass!”

| `Doctor of Thuganomics' John Cena | “Chill!”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Listen, Cena. I didn’t attack you and I have no idea who did. But if I wanted to attack you I would come up to you face to face...”

Goldberg walks up to Cena face to face. Goldberg stares him down as Cena takes a step back.

| `Doctor of Thuganomics' John Cena | “Aiight... aiight. But I will be watching every move you make. You can’t see me... but I will see you! WORD LIFE!!!”

Cena walks away as Goldberg seems to think to himself. Goldberg heads in the opposite direction of Cena, towards the elevator...

Scene 2 ~

The scene opens up in the hallway of the WWE Headquarters. Goldberg is walking down the hallway as he passes Coach on his cellphone. Goldberg stops as Coach ignores him.

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Yes, Mr. McMahon... anything you want... I have to go. Yeah. OK. Have a good evening.”

Coach shuts his cellphone off and pretends to be surprised that Goldberg was standing there.

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Goldberg! What do you want from me now? Perhaps an autograph...?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Ha! Very funny. Coach, for once, I have questions for you.”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Questions for me? You’re serious, right?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah... since you are such good friends with Shane... maybe you can help me. First of all, what the hell is going on around here?”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “What do you mean? Everything is going great for the Coach!”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Well, last Monday night, I beat that punk, Stevie Ray, just like I said I was going to do. He sat there and ran his big mouth about how I take steroids and blah, blah, blah! Well, I guess he found out what Goldberg’s boot tastes like after I shoved it down his throat! So, I beat him and out comes Shane Douglas, the World Heavyweight Champion. But the next thing I know, Chris Nowinski comes out and attacks me from behind...”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Hey! Neither me or Shane had anything to do with that!”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah, right. But then on SMACKDOWN!, the lights go out and I am attacked once again. And the attacker is revealed to be the Undertaker?! Well, that certainly didn’t surprise me. As you remember, I said it was Undertaker, didn’t I?”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Hmm... you might have said that.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “And then to top it all off, Shane makes a World Heavyweight Title match between Taker and Douglas on SMACKDOWN! Whatever happened to Goldberg VS Douglas at Wrestlemania XX? Well, that’s fine. Cause all I’m concerned about is that I am fighting the champ for the belt.”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “OK... anyway, I don’t know if you have been notified but you are fighting HBK on RAW.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah I knew that.”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “OK... so what do you think about this?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Shawn is a great athlete. He is an icon in this business. In my opinion, Shawn is one of the best wrestlers to ever grace the ring. But Shawn has even said so himself, that he is injury prone. I remember when Shawn used to tell people that it was over. That his WWE career had come to a screeching halt. But all of a sudden, here comes this new and improved HBK... back and better than ever! We’ll see if Shawn has still got what it takes to be the best.”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Shawn has cut several promos on you already. What do you think about what he said?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “I agree with a lot of what Shawn said. This week he does have a tougher man to face than last week. However, one thing that Shawn said was that he doesn’t need to beat me up... he just needs to pin me for the 1..2..3. Well, HBK, if order to get that 3 count, you’re going to need to do a helluva lot more than beat me up.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Also, Shawn said that he will win because of his motivation to become the World Heavyweight Champion... Shawn, I also have that same motivation. It’s the thing that keeps me wrestling each and every week. That little strap is the reason why I put my body on the line every night... why I train every day... and why I destroy my opponents. You take away that title and you are on the top of the ladder. You can say how great you are as long as you want... but if you want to prove it, you need that title. I am one step from the top. I am this close at winning the World title. I have it in my grasp but I can’t pull it down. Shawn, you have a great chance at winning the title some day... but not now. You need to fight your way up that ladder, just like I did. And now I have my shot at Wrestlemania!”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Shawn, I have realized it. Since you have returned, you are not the same. You are not that same Heart Break Kid that the fans know and love. You are not the icon, the showstoppa, or the main event anymore. But Shawn, I know that you still have that fire deep down inside. That fire still burns, Shawn. There is no doubt about it that the fire will once again be lit... that the true HBK will be unleashed once again. Here is your chance, Shawn. Beating me might just put you back on top. Beating me might just bring back that old HBK...”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “We really have to wrap things up, Goldy. In Shawn’s interviews, he has said that you are in his way of greatness...”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Yeah, that’s true. I am standing in his way. There is no going around me... there’s only the option of facing me one on one. And Shawn said that there is nothing that he wouldn’t do for that World title. Jump back to reality, Shawn, there is nothing anyone in this business wouldn’t do for it... me being one of those guys.”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Michaels also said something quite personal... he declared you NEXT!”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “Oh, I’m next? Yeah, I am next for HBK. I am next to kick his ass! Shawn, you have no idea what being next is all about. Next isn’t just some word I tell people... next is a world. When your next, your world is about to come crashing down in one giant spear!”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Shawn’s words started heating up from there... from calling you a loser to saying that your streak didn’t matter. He even went as far to say that you won the Royal Rumble because he wasn’t in it.”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “A loser? Does a loser main event every night? Does a loser win the Royal Rumble? Does a loser face the World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania? Well, that answer is yes. You see, Shawn is the loser. He used to main event every night... he won the Royal Rumble... he faced the champ and won... but he did not beat Goldberg. I am not the loser, Shawn, you are. And you will be one this Monday night when I beat you. As far as him saying that I had a ‘little streak’... that’s bullshit! Everybody knows that my streak is legend. My streak is more of a legend than Shawn himself. Then Shawn said that I wouldn‘t have won the Rumble if he was in it. Well, there‘s no doubt that Shawn would have gone far... but the Rumble was my time. And there was nothing and no one that was going to stop me from winning it!”

| `Cocky Interviewer' Coach | “Any final thoughts?”

| `Da Man' Goldberg | “In all seriousness, Shawn you are a legend. But you have had your time in the spotlight and that time is over. It’s my turn now, Shawn. Just remember these three things, Shawn... me spearing your ass to the mat, the ref hand slapping the canvas for the 1..2...3, and my music thundering through the arena as the GOLDBERG chant is started. HBK, you better get ready... cause YOUR NEXT!”

Goldberg walks away from a silent Coach...
